Just left the Olive Garden we got in everything seemed good. The hostess took us past other people seated at booths and table's . But she kept going to the back room where there was only table's completely empty. We asked for a both she again took past the area that had empty booths but there were customers in there and sat us at the bar. Where the bartender although pleasant seemed to preoccupied. Not five minutes after she stuck us in the bar she took two groups back to the booths. I asked her why she didn't give us that booth. Only to give it to someone else who arrived after us. Her excuse was bull. She said there wasn't a waitress there. But only five minutes later there was. And if so who was tending to the customers already seated there? I believe the hostess working today Wednesday November 9.22 at 11:10 am is racist towards certain people .why else Would she have treated us like that. We had to leave three interactions with the bar tender and he still didn't take our order . He seemed to preoccupied to give us good service I don't think this is good for a restaurant to have people bent on some personal vendetta working there. What a shame to I was really looking forward to having lunch there. We went there last week and had a good time. It was our first time there sence the lockdown. We were hoping it would be a good place to go . But on bad employee and I'm looking for someplace else to eat....
Read moreThe Olive Garden is a popular restaurant providing a fusion of Italian and American food that despite my reservations continues to be an enjoyable visit. Their menu changes over time as they find new blends of ingredients. They offer the endless salad or soups, and breadsticks are provided continuously. Service has been consistently professional and friendly. But the prices... Yes, the food is of good quality, the portions are good, the flavor blends are well thought out, but almost everything seems to start at the high teens or quickly runs in to the twenties. Add a glass of wine, an appetizer and/or a dessert, and you are already in the $60s for 2 before tax and tip. Bringing friends? Check your checking account first. The saving grace here is that by splitting the entree in to 2 meals (i.e. getting a box for tomorrow's lunch) you can better justify the pricing. Still, this is not a high-end restaurant where you expect to pay more, so while I appreciate the overall experience, there is an element of chain restaurant predictability and consistency and cattle call boxed processing that keeps it from being scored really high. 4 stars. I suggest looking at Romano's Macaroni Grill as an...
Read moreI called ahead, and they put us down for 5 pm. Got there & had to wait. At the bar I ordered Calamari appetizer $11, it was a nice start & enough for 2 to share. I let the hostess know we were there for a birthday & I watched her as she clicked b-day on the screen. We were seated. I ordered the seafood alfredo $21 and asked if they could add broccoli. Which they did $3.50 additional. When it arrived the scallops were smaller than a fingernail, I've never seen them that small. But they were seared nice and not overcooked. The broccoli that arrived was about a palm full and it was mushy like what you find in the bottom of a frozen bag. My date had the trio, and enjoyed it very much. We ordered two of the $5 meals you can take home, and they were refrigerated. Unfortunately the birthday was never mentioned, not a one birthday wish or any recognition of birthday. Which was disappointing. I raided the three stars it's nothing special. And I doubt if I'd go back unless somebody else absolutely wanted to. Honestly I'm not sure if stuff is made fresh, or if they just heat it up like...
