Delay but More Importantly Lack of Organization/Timing
We generally have no issues with Ullr, but today things were not firing on all cylinders. It was 7:10am when I arrived. I walked right up and gave my order: A few Pastries Medium Americano with room for cream 2 Medium Ciders with whip
There were 3 others in the Ullr and a Breck employee siting at the bar reading when I arrived that were waiting for their drinks. As I sat and watched the RedBull SoapBox derby going on and laughing I eventually noticed that those same 3 people were still waiting for their drinks. Slowly, those 3 started to get their drinks then another family that arrived after me got one of their drinks. Finally, the Americano was ready. In the meantime, the Breck employee said he was ready for his coffee and got his right away. I asked about the 2 Ciders. The barista grumbled, "They are almost ready.". As I noticed she didn't even have the cups separated. Nearly 10min after the Americano was ready, the ciders were ready.
Usually, delays are not a big deal, however, I was trying to get a coffee to my husband who was on an early work call. His coffee was delivered to the Bldg 3 Day Use room at 7:40am. More than the delay, the lack of organization and timing of drinks were unacceptable. People's orders were not coming out together. I simply do not understand how one Americano and 2 Ciders cannot come out within a reasonable time together. I thought I was going to have to ask them to make another Americano because my husbands Americano was...
Read moreVery disappointed with this coffee shop. It appeared there were 5-6 people taking orders and felt like no one really knew what was going on. We ordered food which came out fairly fast. It was similar to microwave Jimmy Dean sandwiches. Which is OK. Basic drip coffee was delivered to my husband 5 mins later. It was lukewarm and bitter. After we finished our breakfast, I was still waiting for my coffee. I notice the girls behind the counter chatting with each other and not making coffee so I assumed they forgot. I then asked where my coffee is and I noticed one of the girls hurried to set a coffee cup on the counter. The manager or owner noticed it and picked it up and delivered it to our table. She then walked back to me and stated, “It’s been sitting here the entire time and I should have noticed and grabbed it myself.” Funny how everyone else was getting their coffee handed to them. Manager/ owner basically made it like it was my fault. Sadly the coffee was lukewarm and bitter. What a shame. I felt like we were treated as if we were just tourists that will never be back. I can tell you we are owners and will...
Read moreThis place is...... just ok. Such a beautiful place with amazing view of skiing and nice interior. The reason for my low review is because I really expected a lot more from this place. Considering it’s the only place to “eat” in the morning at Grand Colorado, I expected much better! They only serve pastries that definitely aren’t made fresh, and their breakfast burritos are like the kind you buy at the gas station and throw in the microwave. It’s a very convenient location for a quick drink for skiers, it’s just not amazing. High prices for...
