Thankfully Michael and the guys behind the main indoor bar semi-saved our experience, so for that I rate TBar a 2 stars. We initially arrived and went to go sit on the patio, after getting the green light from the outdoor servers, we took a seat. Our server was called Addison and she seemingly took an instant disliking to us. We waited 20 mins while she actively tried not to make eye contact with us. After 20 mins, we decided we would try catching her attention by politely saying “excuse me”, after her blatantly hearing us on several occasions, she continued to ignore us. We sat there confused as to what we did to deserve this! We decided to take more initiative and got out our seat to ask the other outdoor waitress for some assistance, but instead of her telling us she will help us out, we got “that’s not my section”. After 25 mins of being purposely ignored by Addison, we gave up and went inside to sit at the bar, which was a good time.
I hate writing negative reviews, but small note to Addison and outdoor staff; be attentive to your guests, make them feel welcome and they will likely spend money in your bar and...
Read moreDecent food, expected prices for on-mountain food, but our servicer, Robert, was uncomfortably rude.
My friend and fiance got a drink at the bar while we waited for a table to clear, and upon sitting down Robert (our waiter) asked us to "stay at the bar if you're going to get drinks there." When my fiance explained they got drinks while waiting for a table to open, Robert doubled-down telling us this was "his section and the lunch rush is coming in" (we were there FOR lunch, but we hadn't even been able to tell him that).
I understand that he wanted the tips for the drinks, but it was an incredibly rude way to start the conversation. Which I imagine is why he the continued to ignore us for 10 minutes (maybe hoping we'd leave?) before he took our order.
Needless to say, I'll be back to Breck, but if I return to TBar I'll be sure to avoid...
Read moreWent to TBar on the Monday after opening day this season. Seemed very disorganized. Wasn't sure if we were supposed to wait to be seated or just find an open spot. We did the latter. Our server was very friendly, but service was very slow. It was crowded, but not swamped. The food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Pretty much standard pub fare, but more expensive. I will say our bloody marys were really good, though. A couple days later, I sat out while my husband skied. I tried four or five times to find a seat in TBar to have some drinks while I waited, and was never able to get in. It was insanely crowded, and the scene around the bar was utter chaos. ...
