Food is great, but the service us absolutely horrible. My thing is if you don't want to work, just call off. Do your damn job. My people should have never had a horrible waiter.
My family and I just left Flavor Brunch & Bar And while the food was the delicious, the service was absolutely terrible. Our entire experience was ruined solely because of the service we received. The young man who waited on us was inattentive and dismissive.
First, my Sister asked for a waffle substitution with her order. When the food was brought out, her waffle was not included. I mentioned this to the waiter, he brought her waffle. However, when she received her bill she was charged for two waffles. When we brought this to the waiter's attention, to correct her bill he charged her for an additional waffle, instead of the substitution. Of course the additional waffle was more expensive.
Second, as we were finishing our meal, the waiter asked if I wanted a container to take my left over salmon croquet and I said yes. After waiting a while, I asked again for a container again. He took them away from the table so we assumed he was taking them to the back to wrap them up. I'd also placed a to-go order, so we were waiting for that as well. He brings me my to go order and it's missing the sides that come with the meal. I inform the waiter of this and he goes back to the kitchen. We waited for about 10 minutes and he brings me the sides for the to-go. I asked about my salmon croquet and the waited looks at me puzzled. I asked did her wrap up my salmon croquet and he tells me he THREW THEM AWAY. My family sits there perplexed. I ask "so are you guys going to make me two or three more salmon croquet?" The waiter doesn't respond and walks back to the kitchen.
We wait another 20 minutes, thinking that the waiter will be bringing me more salmon croquet. He comes back to start cleaning the table and my Cousin asks "so are you going to replace her food?" The waiter responds that I would have to order and pay for more salmon croquet if I wanted them.
At no point with all of the errors that this waiter made did he offer an apology or any kind of resolution. What was also disappointing was that there was another waiter who appeared to be some sort of lead or manager who saw our waiter struggling and also failed to offer him or us any assistance.
I can say with certainty my family will never return to this restaurant. It was our first and last...
Read moreI visited the one on Kedzie in November of 2023, and was very disappointed that it was not sanitized enough from the nasty-looking couch in the front to the germ-infested menus I said to myself was this the place that just had a strict policy about c-19 germs, and would not let you inside without a mask smh; the tables and chairs were just as filthy as the menus, the service thus was obnoxious based on the fact that every area of the dining was not well kept the tables were damp from using the same rags from table to table, chair to chair as though not anyone working in the dining area took any pride in the sanitation of the front part of this eatery many years ago I gave this place an excellent rating but after my last experience there that will have to change. The food presentation as in the video is as it is being portrayed from the time before my last, but before my Wife and I got to the ordering part, we tipped the waitress who didn't seem concerned with this germ-infested menu, and we both thought to ourselves that everyone is using over and over to us that was the last straw and we left tipping her she asked "Why we are leaving;" I responded we changed our minds and didn't like the items on the menu. Maybe Flavors should ask Gordon Ramsay to help improve their whole atmospheric impression of the place; stop being so cheap and spend some capital on new chairs and booth seats, I will try this again one day and hopefully, this comment will be read by the owner and take this serious I felt like they was serving the food in the restroom that was poorly kept. So where did we go to eat after this disgusting experience? The Cheesecake Factory. Why? With similar prices, more choices, and a better atmosphere, the service was okay, and the menu was filthy. Sorry Flavors but this front-door service is an injustice to the Chef. Also, get rid of that bed bug magnet couch at your front door; this place has a confused Idea of how to represent the Chef's virtue and his presentation. The Chef deserves better, and the public deserves more from your current...
Read moreI’ve visited twice in as many months, once to dine in once to pick up an order. Both times the food was good but the environment—I can’t even fault the service because the waitress was fine—but the atmosphere was off. The first time it was during the early afternoon and we were one of three patrons. My friend and I, a young couple and two older women. The young manager on duty that day would not change the music and was playing trap music (Future; DaBaby). We were just trying to have a classy, quiet lunch and we were subjected to cussing and inappropriate lyrics. When we asked the manager if she could change the music she told us no. Only until the other older couple started complaining did the music mellow out. Everybody knows that music affects your mood and your state of mind and if I’m going to spend $100 on a lunch (Flavor ain’t cheap) I don’t care how good the food is, I want to have the atmosphere to go with it. I decided to give them another try but this time take my food home with me. I ordered and paid over the phone, but when I got there an hour later there was no one in site for at least five minutes other than the dinI want to have the atmosphere to go with it. I decided to give them another try but this time I take my food home with me. I ordered and paid over the phone, but when I got there an hour later there was no one in sight for at least five minutes other than the customers there eating. After another person who seemed to be waiting for an order walked in someone finally came out from the back, clearly upset, shaking his head and saying he was “50 years old.” A young lady then ran out after him and begged him to stay and when he seemed intent on leaving she said she was going to start canceling orders so it appeared as if the cook had quit mid-shift. I’m not sure what’s going on at Flavor but the owners need to get a handle on that soon because they have a great restaurant with a great menu. But this young, disrespectful, unprofessional management is going to drive them out of business. I’m done...
