So I've been coming to this Mcdonalds every single weekend since my children were in diapers but after the events that transpired on February 9th we will NEVER RETURN. We came on that Saturday morning as always to find a smelly crack smoking homeless woman sitting in the CHILDREN'S playland area. She was snoring loudly as she had her phone blaring even louder playing a tv show. She smelled like feces and cigarette smoke and had mounted her pile of garbage on the table where people eat. We had to sit as far away as we possible could. My husband kindly asked her to lower her music so he could hear the kids. Then he asked the woman at the register to please ask this woman to move from the childrens area as she didnt have any children and she was being very disruptive. The employees do absolutely nothing and a fight ensues between this woman and now her husband and my husband and I. Her husband comes out of nowhere and aggressively begins to threaten my husband while the woman threatens to beat me up and slit my throat as they throw their F BOMBS around all the while in front of my children. I was called a MEXICAN and my husband a NI* and my husband and I are neither Mexican or African american. All because my husband kindly asked her to lower her phone. Things escalated so much I had to call Homewood Police. Only then did management get off their lazy as and do something. The police asked them to move away from us and only then did things calm down but at that point it was too late and I had already decided to leave and never spend another dime at that garbage dump of a place that is supposed to have a safe play area for children to play and families to eat together. I cant tell you how many times homeless people walk into the childrens play area only to stink up the bathroom. Management really needs to pay attention to the people that walk through the door and if you dont have children why are you even in the childrens play area.I would like to thank the other manager that has been so kind to us over the years but he was not there that day instead it was a woman and she did nothing to help us, had the other manager been there im sure he wouldve cared. To any families that are looking for a Mcdonalds with a Playland just go to the one in Tinley Park its much cleaner and their are no bums in...
Read moreConsistent problems with this location. A Few weeks ago I ordered food I gave money for the extra portion over the gift cards but they used the gift cards 1st. They then said thank you very much and didn't give my gift cards back. I had to question where they were because one of them then had money left on it because they used the cash before the gift cards. They said no it didn't . I showed the receipt that it did and had to get all 4 gift cards back because they couldn't figure out which 1 was the 1 I needed. As I pulled up at the second window after the long confusion at the first window I was greeted politely and asked what happened? I explained and the girl said Oh, he is new. And that's when I said no it was the Actual manager that helped him help me. I got home and figured out in 2 seconds which gift card I needed.
My husband visited a week week ago and received rudeness from the same person. Very rude service. And then today he went again and gave a $100 bill and she stared awhile at the screen and did not get the correct change. He stayed at the register inside and the woman said she gave the right change and insisted he was lying even though he never walked away. Then she counts the whole drawer just to prove that she didnt owe him money and she never apologized for saying he was lying when she found out she was incorrect. She tried to say the Bill's stuck together. When he gets to the car with our food it's not even the correct order. They gave grilled instead of crispy chicken for the salad! So he walked back in requesting the correct food. Drive thru or inside, there still seems a lot of issues here We will just drive a little further to the one on Halsted street instead...
Read moreIn most cases I would've given this location a 3 or maybe even a 4 star rating. However the reason I am giving them 2 stars is because I went there on 4/17/2015 at 9:45 pm. I drove into the drive thru along with several other motorists and after waiting for 7 minutes I began blowing my horn and asking into the speaker box hello, hello, is anyone there, is anyone taking orders. No one responded and when i initially pulled in i could see the staff at the counter, one was even sitting at a table near the play area. So another motorist to out and went up to the drive thru window, he then came back and told the rest of us that they had written the word closed on a piece of paper on both windows. No one ever, no one ever came out to say anything. I drove up and saw the piece of paper stuck on both windows. I was thouroughly upset at their lack of courtesy and unprofessionalism. I called the location today and expressed my experience to the manager claudia, she said she was not aware of what happened and i told her in full detail. She offered me a free meal and i told her she needs to find out what happened and that the staff need to be reprimanded. And to think they...
