Service was great, one of the plates had a caterpillar in the vegetable salad.
Our party of three had lunch there on a Saturday afternoon. The server “Erin” was extremely welcoming and attentive despite being alone to manage all the tables (there were 3-4 other busy tables at the time).
Food was delivered in a timely manner and for the most part was pretty good. After Erin delivers the order, one of the people in our party asked the others what a certain item in her vegetable salad looked like. Upon initial look it appeared to be a green piece of chewed gum, but after a closer inspection, it was clearly a “pickled caterpillar” that made its way into the vegetable salad served with the rib-eye.
We notified Erin immediately and she was so apologetic and immediately took the plate away and asked if she would replace the plate with something else. Everyone at the table had lost their appetite at that point. Erin said that the plate with the caterpillar would be “comped”…but we were charged for everything else. To be fair to Erin, we never asked for the other meals to be comped despite losing our appetites, so we might have been comped had we asked, but we really just wanted to get out of there. It felt like nothing coming from the kitchen could be trusted.
Again the staff and servers were extremely nice and attentive …but no level of attentiveness could compensate for the discovery of a caterpillar early in the meal. We were reasonably confident that no caterpillars had been consumed yet, and didn’t want to take anymore chances, so we...
Read moreThe absolute worst place I have eaten in a long time! Hubby, me, daughter, SIL grandson and his family all stopped here to eat as we were traveling to Tomball for a football game. It was about 3:30 in the afternoon. The waitress kept trying to push the buffet to us.i looked and clearly the food had been there for a long time. My grandson and SIL chose it even though we all tried to discourage them. The rest of us ordered from the menu. My grandson’s wife and I got hamburgers and after one bite, neither of us could eat our burgers. The meat was probably microwaved. It tasted old and was very rubbery. Everyone else ordered from the seafood menu and believe it or not, the it plates were made from the old food sitting on the buffet. It was all lukewarm at best. Our biggest complaint was that everything tasted old and on the verge of being spoiled!!!Even our little 2 yo great grand, who was hungry, would not eat the chicken strips we got him. I had to give it one star so I could post this review, but the stars would definitely be a negative 5!! DO NOT STOP HERE!! It’s a definite waste of money!! The waitress was nice and accommodating but seemed clueless so we just paid and...
Read moreThe building has been newly remodeled and looks great, however the service was not great. The picture below is the appetizer described on the menu as large boiled shrimp with Cajun spice. The shrimp were barely thawed out and the "Cajun spice" is served in a plastic cup along side of the "large" shrimp. Rebecca was the manager on duty and she is not concerned the least bit with customer satisfaction. She never left the cash register until we asked to speak with her about the poor appetizer, but even then it was completely obvious she is not the least bit concerned with customer's opinions. Our waitress was super sweet but obviously needs more training. The entrees ordered were sub par. There were two steaks ordered that were cooked well and tasted well, just kind of thin for a "steakhouse". The crawfish etouffee has a sweet celery note that really stands out so if you like it a little sweet it will be perfect for you. The stuffed shrimp was also ordered and was one of the better...
