First timer , where do I start. I ordered an horchata with low ice as in less than half cup i even told the waitress. By the time the drinks arrived I was presented with a glassful of ice with my horchata or should I say my “horchata snowcone” as in more ice and horchata glaze on top. 4 sips and its gone , I immediately brought this to the attention of the waitress which was nice and offered to remedy the insignificant situation by taking it back . Little did I know she would summon a demon from the depths of hell. Hells kitchen that is, to my knowledge she appeared in a puff of smoke I didnt even feel her presence until I turned around . I thought I would be presented with what I ordered instead the petite girl with glasses with more attitude than height began to escalate the situation by arguing with me and explaining in a condescending way why they sell their “aguas” which is funny to me because there was minimal “agua” in my agua more like a snowcone . She proceeded to explain why they rip off customers by putting more ice than horchata and why they do it to every customer and they were not going to make an exception for me and that was the end of it and stopped short of telling me to shut up and eat my snowcone . She went on this rant on why she was right and even tried to unsuccessfully convince me that the glass had very little ice , maybe if I was blind woman , but I can clearly see the glass is packed to the brim with ice . Nice try though once she saw I wasnt buying what she was selling , which was definitely not good customer service she began to give me attitude finger wag and the whole package . I did not order a snowcone and I did not order a disgruntled employee with apparent hothead issues. She took so long arguing with me , longer than this review longer than making an horchata from scratch . It wouldve been much easier and less time consuming to just dump some ice to at least half cup and filled the rest with actual liquid . So after the letany she vanished into thin air in a plume of black smoke or walked very fast to where she came from I dont know it was probably the latter but who knows. The food was unbearably salty. It seemed like the salt was seasoned with meat instead of the other way around seriously somebody inside the kitchen is very liberal with the salt. Or maybe that is their way to make more money on the drinks , salt the food up and sell more (ice ) no refills of course , but this is just a theory. Seriously you could fulfill your entire weeks sodium intake in one seating. Plates are way overpriced not worth the price . If you want to be treated like a secondclass citizen and pay for salty overpriced food this...
Read moreMy school took a trip to Brenam, Texas for UIL Regionals competition, and we went to this restaurant for dinner. There were about 30 of us, and, therefore, it was a hassle to get everyone THEIR food and THEIR drink, which I understand. Now, me and my two friends all ordered root beers, me and friend #1 got our drinks, and, yes, they were root beers, but friend #2's drink was a Coke Zero. Because friend #2 is picky with what she drinks and eats, I hailed a waitress over to get it fixed, though getting a waitress to notice us was hard. When she came back, she brought back the same cup and same straw, but yes, friend #2 had a root beer. But she refused to drink it because they gave her the same straw which they touched with their bare hands. Once again, I hailed the waitress over, and she gave friend #2 a new straw. Now, we thought this was the end of our drink issue, but no~. This was just the begging. So, after drinking MY entire root beer, the waitress asked if I wanted more. I said yes, and she said ''More Coke.'' Friend #3 said ''root beer'', but, unfortunately, the waitress didn't hear her, so when she brought it back, I tasted the drink, and it was Coke. Then, the waitress was called back over again, and we sorted it out, and I got my root beer. At this point, I felt really bad for making the waitress do all this for us, so I decided to give her a $10 tip. When she came over again, I gave her the tip, and friend #1 gave the waitress her root beer for a refill. Friend #1 told the waitress twice, TWICE, that she had a root beer, but when her drink came back, it was a Coke. At this point my table was too tired to correct it so we just lived with it. The food was great, and I feel bad for the waitress, and this review was purely meant to give someone a laugh because it...
Read moreI usually don’t write reviews but I was so disappointing on how we were served. I went with a friend for our lunch break. We sat ourselves and picked up our own menus. It wasn’t busy there were 6 table that had people seated, 3 were done eating just sitting there, a gentleman was waiting for someone to take his order which they never did and he got up and was talking to a manager and paid for the beer he did receive. The waiter asked for our drink orders across the room which is very unusual. Once we were ready to order my friend asked for queso and we order our food. There were several waitresses walking/standing around. We asked for our queso again and by the time we got our food she then brought out our queso. Once our waiter was passing our food out he stated out loud that “If we didn’t like it there, there was a Burger King down the road and that they had tacos but theirs weren’t as good as ours.” (Last time I check Burger King didn’t have tacos). My friend got quesadillas with tasted like they cooked beforehand, put it in the fridge and then warmed it up. I had nachos deluxe and ask for queso on them instead of shredded cheese and the brought a bowl of queso with tasted like cheese sauce – disgusting. We got our check they charged us for the queso and 2 ice teas. I told the manager or what I think was the manager that we indeed didn’t get our queso and only had 1 tea. We walked up to pay for our food and the waiter said that thanks for a waiting so patience the people behind us. I get it they are shorthanded and need help but there is absolutely no reason to talk to a customer that way. Shame on you Las Fuentes...
