WOULD RATE 4 OR 5 STARS BUT THE SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!
I went here for the first time with my son and girlfriend. The waitress took forever with our drinks and couldn't even get that right. Wanted tea with lemon and didn't get the lemon. We wanted an appetizer and wasn't even asked if we wanted one after she asks if we were ready to order. So we use the kiosk to order the appetizer after she had already stormed off. We told her what entrees we wanted but she didn't give us a chance to even order an appetuzer or barely even get all the drinks out of our mouth before she took off as if she was in a hurry to get back to the kitchen. Hence the no lemon. We have to ask where our order is after a long period of time and she brings our entrees out cold before the appetizer we have to remind her of the appetizer she goes into the kitchen brings it out and it's cold. Not once did the waitress ask if we were doing okay she never once came back to check on us we had to stand up and ask another waitress to see if we can get refills on our drinks and still only got one drink out of three. We had to hit the button on the kiosk saying call server so the kiosk was flashing to get attention from anybody that was around that could have helped us and it sat there blinking for a good 15-20 minutes so out of frustration I had to stand up to get some attention when we were sitting in the middle right there by the bar and the door going towards the kitchen they were only two tables of people. I ask for extra napkins and after a long period of time she finally looks at me because I'm looking at her rolls her eyes because she actually has to do something and finally comes back with three napkins. Even the other table the guy had to stand up to get somebody's attention to get silverware because they were too busy talking to each other or going back to the kitchen. Seems as if the four workers that we've seen working were more involved in each other and whatever was going on in the kitchen to pay attention to two tables worth of customers and one person sitting at the bar. The customer service at this location was absolutely horrible. If it wasn't for the horrible service and the fact that it was because of our waitress that our food was cold and she could care less that we were bothering her with her time when it was her job it would have been a good experience. I do like the restaurant I do like the food and I think the prices are affordable but y'all need to get it together with your workers. THATS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER HAD ANYWHERE. We arrived about 6:30 pm; 3 employees at hostess area, 2 talking, and young man sitting looking at his cell phone. We were seated in bar area. Took forever for someone to come to our table, very pleasant young lady, she asked our drink order, I said we were ready to order food too, she left and said let me get your server. Another 5 minutes or so, server finally comes. She was friendly and pleasant. Ordered appetitizers and dinner. Over 25 minutes later, all brought at same time. Food was cold, restaurant was very cold, asked twice to have AC changed because it was so cold, employee said we are all freezing. There were maybe 3 other tables seated. We would go for 10 minutes without seeing a server. The hot sauce bottle did not have the plastic shaker inside cap, so when used it just gushed out. Ruined the food, but tried to wipe away and eat anyway. We mentioned to server they might not want to use that bottle for future guests. We were there for 1 hour 15 minutes. No one ever checked to see how our food was or did we need anything. We weren't offered a refill on our drinks until we asked for to go boxes, and we did get a to go glass to take with us. I had the shrimp Alfredo, there was very little alfredo sauce, what small amount was there was watery. On our appetitizer tray, the queso had film on top, guess because it was cold. Spinach dip about the same; chips were slightly stale but edible. Salsa and chicken tender was good. It should have been a warning that so few were there at dinner hour. Obviously the quality is slipping and others know to avoid. Most other restaurants in the area had crowded parking lots, but not Cheddars. There are so many choices in the area, I would recommend going somewhere else for dinner. Perhaps lunch is better, but I won't be back to find out. Ok so that was the positive part of this review.
It was 9:14pm when we arrived, the restaurant was set to close at 10pm and as someone who has worked at restaurants before I didnāt think that was too bad as we had been here before and had an idea of what we wanted to eat. The plan was to be paying by 10 because we didnāt want to keep the staff there just for us.
The waitress who I will not name was just rude and did not care to serve us. She rolled her eyes as we came in and had that look of annoyance with her co-worker that you would have if a group of 10 people walked in 15min to close.
We were treated poorly and we had to ask for refills as we were never checked on because the waitress was eating food. You read that correctly, she was in sight of us and ate her food 30mins before the restaurant was even closed. While we sat there with empty cups and we hadnāt even gotten our own food served yet. If she was in a hurry to leave why not start cleaning up to go home? Or get us served and out of there?
When we received our food all but one order was lukewarm as if it had been sitting on the counter or straight wrong. The medium rare steak? Well done and simply looked pathetic, it was suppose to be a 6oz but probably weighed in at 4oz.
One person ordered broccoli and fries but was told they had no broccoli AS THE FOOD CAME OUT, and then served double fries instead without any offer for another side option.
By this time it was about 9:40? 9:45? Who knows but we tried to eat and just couldnāt as we had no drinks and the food came out sad.
The whole time the waitress avoided us and talked to co-workers while she ate her food. We were checked with 3 times the entire time we were there.
We asked for a manager and Ryan came out. He understood our concerns and took care of us. He also livened up the atmosphere for us and made us laugh; honestly a really cool guy.
I leave 5 stars for Ryan but the waitress should just not be there honestly. Why bother coming in to work if you donāt want...
