UPDATED REVIEW: I dropped a star because the restaurant responded, but instead of offering to reimburse the food they left out of our order, it was just a boilerplate "We'll try to do better next time" message. They never called back from my voicemail, the only way I've heard from them is responding to this review.
Original review: Had our first visit here and live right nearby. It was one of those "Kids wore us out, let's order pickup" rare treat nights. We were told it'd be ready in 20-25 minutes. Walked in 25 minutes later and waited another 10+ minutes. There were two tables sat and about 5 Doordash drivers standing around.
I got my order and drove home to find they left out a large portion of the order. I called and it went to voicemail, I left a message and decided to cook dinner for myself instead of spending another 20 minutes trying to get my missing item. By then the kids were starving and half our family ate while the rest waited for dinner to be made.
I hate to leave a negative review but I never could reach them, they never called back and we spent money to get an evening off from cooking, but ended up having to cook anyway. The whole experience felt like a bust, EXCEPT that the food we got was delicious. I would love to eat in the restaurant sometime but not if my experience is the...
Read moreWe used to go to this place all the time before it changed hands and became “Lemongrass”…
The new management and staff are definitely very friendly and helpful, and the general ambience still holds pretty well for the most part as far as decor, helping with dietary restrictions, etc. However, they don’t take very much pride in details.
There are greasy finger marks on the tables when we go in there, the bathrooms are disgusting, and they keep roach spray out in the open at the bussing station. The plates are often also thrown together, so food presentation is seriously missing the mark. These details say a lot.
We tried it 7 times, but the last time we were in there the manager was having a loud FaceTime conversation with a friend just two tables over from us, so we couldn’t hear our own conversation very well. It was also really tough to get past all of the facial piercings our server had (very excessive), and the very long nails. I realize this can be typical these days, but it was an incredibly unappetizing experience all around, even more so because of this.
We finally came to the conclusion that despite how much we loved it before it changed hands, that it just is no longer a great place to go, even with the pretty decor and smiling staff. We’re sad to say we will no...
Read moreI totally understand this restaurant just opened and staff is still learning the menu. However, I ordered Khao soi (Thai coconut soup) and asked if/what meat comes with it. The server didn’t know but I said it was fine as long as it wasn’t red meat or pork. Unfortunately, the soup had been made with beef so it had to be remade. This cause our food a while to come out. When it did come out it was a different soup than I ordered. When I asked the server, she had to confirm it was different by the picture on the menu and said that’s how the kitchen has been making for Khao Soi. I guess they didn’t have the soup I wanted, so I ended up getting Tom kha. It was okay. My friend ordered the pineapple fried rice. It came out in a hallow pineapple, but no pineapple was actually in the fried rice. It had raisins though, which was odd in my opinion. Overall, the service was good but it seems like both kitchen and front of house staff needs to learn the menu and maybe they need to adjust it if certain items can’t be made. Our server was so sweet...
