We couldn’t decide where to eat but we finally ended up at Yummy house. We wanted somewhere we haven’t been before. This is a mix of Japanese Ramen and Hawaiian BBQ. We ordered a few items from their menu since it was our first time. We ordered a couple of rice bowls one teriyaki and one salmon, the Karaage Chicken, Chicken KATSU with curry sauce, Loco Moco, Spam Musibi, Pot stickers and crispy shrimp. We also ordered a side order of Kailua Pork and Kimchi.

The food presentation was nice, but nothing fancy. I was disappointed with the Loco Moco, the meat tasted like a regular meat patty. The Kalua pork was nice and smoky but it was a bit dry, the Kimchi’s level of spice was 1. It’s was more pickled than spicy, wasn’t what we expected. This is not to say the food was not good. The food was ok, nothing special. Unfortunately, no one ordered ramen so I can’t tell you about it, heard it was good though :).

The service was ….ok. They served the appetizer but we had no plates, napkins or utensils, we didn’t get them until we had asked for them :). I give the food 3.5 stars and the service 3 stars for an overall experience of 3 stars! Maybe it will be better next visit!...

Place use to be Genki House, but now is at Ramen and Hawaiian BBQ style food in one place. They have decent size appetizers good for sharing. The Gyoza are a good place to start on the menu. I went with the waiter's recommendation of Black Sesame Ramen and it was a great choice. Very savory and portion just right for the average appetite. Unlike others, this place give you a full egg, but wish they cut it in half for better presentation. Their egg is unique and taste with lot of flavor. More importantly it wasn't overcooked.

The Hawaiian BBQ plate, you get a lot of food. Don't expect any fancy presentation, just good hearty food that'll keep you full all day. In addition to the BBQ, you get two ice cream scoop size of rice, macaroni and steam vegetables (which could've use a little salt). The Udon bowl had nice presentation and looked just like the menu picture. The Chicken was tender with a good char and excellent flavor.

And as with all Asian places, they also have tea and boba drinks. I opted for the Thai Tea with 50% sugar; a perfect combination for those of us that don't care for that much...

This was our first time eating at the "Yummy House". The hospitality from the time we entered the door was great. The staff was very helpful in assisting us with our order. Served us ice water while we awaited our to-go order, which was perfect on this extremely hot day (97°F). The wait time was reasonable, and pretty fast. Granted they were not too busy today.

We ordered the Chicken Combo with teriyaki chicken and katsu chicken, and the Bbq Beef and teriyaki chicken combo. Both combos came with 2 scoops of rice, 1 scoop of macaroni salad, and veggies (broccoli and cabbage). The food was served hot and looked really good. They give you an ample amount to fulfill your appetite. The chicken and beef were cooked perfect and both taste really great. The veggies were also good and seasoned well.

I would definitely recommend this location for your Hawaiian Bbq fix, and we will be returning...

Found this place on Google Maps. We ordered the Family Meal - choice of three Hawaiian protein favorites (we ordered curry chicken katsu, BBQ Beef, and BBQ Chicken) + scoops of white rice and Mac salad - that serves 4. Felt like eating Hawaiian food. Onolicious. The Panko battered katsu is cooked to double fried perfection. The BBQ meats were marinated with lots of ginger and had a great charred tasted. Loved that the meats were on a bed of vegetables. The grease soaked into the veggies. It's worth the drive into Brentwood to order this meal. It's mom & pop owned and the service and atmosphere is like being at a local grinz restaurant.

Hawaiian BBQ chicken - so very tender and really, really good! Almost tasted like a pork cutlet, certainly better than plain chicken. I'd get it again for sure. 3 cutlets on a bed of fried cabbage, 2 scoops of white rice and a tasty macaroni salad. Get 1 scoop of rice and 2 scoops of macaroni, it was that good. That's a lot of carbs, I'm gonna be asleep in an hour and when I wake up, I'm coming back. Locals know about this place, lots of delivery business. Good, good, good!
