I just love bargain hunting. I like finding pieces that might be $35 elsewhere and it's $17 at HG. HG has all the house stuff you need - from furniture, rugs, mirror, towels, kitchen stuff, food, seasonal decor, gift wrapping paper, ribbons, yadayada. I could spend hours at HG easily...sad cz it's my therapy shopping. Self discipline though! When I go in I make sure I look and get what I "need" first. But sometimes I also pick up what I "want". But, before I hit the register, I will do a final sweep of my cart and evaluate what's inside. Very busy store on weekends, here in Brentwood, CA store, reasonable prices, actually great prices on some items for the home, especially when on discount days. Great for finding baking pans cookie pans, pots and pans, cooking utinsels, bathroom item, towels blankets rugs, some furniture items wall mirrors , art on canvas, pottery, , decorations, pet items, glassware, dishes , everything to decorate house, pillows, bedding , comforters, aheets, table cloths etc. There something for everyone, just have to search. Very upsetting the standards leaves much to be desired.. This store is over crowded with too much congestion of product in the isles,in carts, so much so ,no carts for the customers. People bumping into one another, complaining not enough cashier's for the line to move smoothly. What a mess and disappointment. Over the years,no sight of improvement. I strongly iurge management resolve the ongoing issues by initiate 2hours before store opens have a team members (3-5) including store manager clear product off floor to re-shelve.
