Hong Kong Express — Restaurant in Bridgeport

The only reason I am giving this place 1 star is because I cannot give them 0. Unfortunately I used to order food from here all the time and always loved it. I do not know if there is a new cook or manager however when I opened my food I almost vomited at how spoiled it smelled. I called them to let them know and they offered to send me another. Thinking they may use fresher ingredients I accepted. This time I opened the food before the delivery driver left and again almost puked at the smell. The driver called the manager who argued with me that they already sold other people the same items I ordered and that I was wrong and the food was good. I have ordered the same thing countless times and have never been so disgusted in my life. To whoever else ordered the lo mein today I hope you did not eat it. I will no longer be giving this place...

I'm from NY and months ago my family from there came to visit and we all ordered chicken wings with fried rice, the food was really good.. Just ordered recently and it was a 180, I ordered crab sticks, garlic wings and general tso w/ fried rice. The crab in the fried sticks were very mushy with no flavor, the wings flavor was decent but were all soggy, for the general tso half of the chicken were tasty and the other half were chewy. The only foods that were really edible was the fried rice and egg roll (adding the duck sauce to it) No Napkins or utensils included. I love going there first of all, it’s a family environment. The food is THE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN THE NEXT 300 miles because I travel a lot. I love the orange chicken but I always try something different… The fact that it’s a family business makes me so comfortable eating there (I have been placing take out orders for about 5 years), and just so you know: they don’t deliver.
