Honest review from full time RVers. We found this bakery while searching google for homemade pies. I wasn’t sure we were in the right place at first. The signage isn’t the greatest and the outside of the building looked a little abandoned. We finally went inside to find most of the pie cases were empty. It was 10am so maybe we were late to the game? The place looked like it was split between a living quarters and a start up business. I had never seen pies quite like these before but didn’t want to leave empty handed. We felt we needed to support this new business.I ordered a dozen of what she had available and was kinda shocked that a dozen very small pie cookies was over $20. The pies were okay but not worth the price. The edges were hard and it felt like they may have been sitting in the case a bit too long. The apple ones were the best and had just came out of the oven. Overall experience was about 6 outta 10. It felt more like a lemonade stand type set up than a real business. Maybe that’s what they’re going for. Great location with loads of...
Read moreEvery pie I tried was delicious! I tried 3 of the standard (Hillbilly, Ube, and Peach) and 1 flavor of the month (German Chocolate). Can't wait to go back to try more!
The Hillbilly was warm when I got it and it was excellent that way. I loved the peach one and the Ube (purple yam) was sweeter than I thought it would be but in a good way. The German Chocolate was the most gourmet one I tried, which made sense for the higher price ($2 instead of $1) and being a flavor of the month. I'm a fan of German Chocolate in general so I had to try it and was not disappointed. I also am really picky about my pie crust in general and pies aren't always my favorite but these had the best crust I have tried for quite a while. The owner was very friendly and I really hope her...
Read moreMy heart goes out to this business. 1) because they seem like a start up struggling to get off the ground & 2) because I wasn't able to try ALL the available meat pies and desserts like I wanted to. I had heard of this shop and the quality of pies but driving by, I was a bit hesitant. The hand painted signs and store front doesn't necessarily scream corporate business. In this case, that's exactly the point. The individual touch of each mini pie I tried was delightful and delicious! The gal at the front counter was super nice. She had easter pies ready!! I assumed she was the owner since her picture was on the wall in a newspaper article. I wish her all the best and too many customers to handle. I know I'll be back to order some of the larger pies and try...
