No, I’m not a deranged, retired math teacher, and if you look at my point system, I could’ve given only four stars total instead of five, but you have to understand the unusual circumstances for tonight’s dinner on March 22nd 2025.
This evening, Emma was our waitress with Alison with only one L as our manager. With my poor vision, I don’t know if Allison is spelled correctly, but she’ll understand when she reads this. These two wonderful employees came to our rescue when V were having A small problem with the food that V were being served and the reason behind it is very understandable and I completely overlooked what was going on because in the end, we were finally served delicious food the bowl of supreme baked potato soup I forgot the name of it, but whatever the potato soup was absolutely outstanding. Problem that we had with the food was whether it was undercooked overcooked, whatever but again do not judge him negatively on this because the results we ended up with Wonderful and a wonderful ending for a meal.
This week is the week that the regular employees from the colleges are on spring break so with the increased weekend population of people wanting to get into Chili’s and having to deal with the lack of a complete number of servers due to the spring break, obviously there would be some problems and again These great employees took care of it for us. Yes, we waited a long time. Yes, yes yes but the food my my grilled chicken bacon guacamole sandwich was absolutely delicious. Well done and I don’t like chicken sandwiches. But I enjoy this one and the french fries are absolutely hot and delicious so I was enjoying my food
Any problems were not the fault of the waitress, or the manager. It was just simply probably the cooks dealing with the various orders that they have to deal with, and I forgive them simply.
I want to come back and do something a little different with the grilled chicken sandwich that I ordered and I won’t explain in here to give away what I’m gonna try to do and I just might order a burger instead and do the chicken at another time, but there’s something I wanted to do and see if it’ll improve my happiness with the chicken sandwich even though I loved it I wanna love it even more.
Yes, this message probably sounds cryptic with my not giving extreme details but when something happened, Emma and Allison were there to take care of it and they were both gracious and very pro customer servers. I will not fault the cooks for what happened simply because I understand with this week being as crazy it is for summer or spring break And being a Farmer teacher I get it I understand so I’m not gonna hold him to it.
I hope Chili’s administration can recognize Emma and Allison for their exceptional ability to serve this restaurant very very well. And every other server and host as I sat and watched with my own past history in the Restaurant business, I applaud their hard work and dedication to this place
I just got yelled at because it’s a loaded baked potato soup, which was exceptional for flavor it just I want more. I’m coming back and between you and me. It makes more sense to get the combo the three for meal which is a few dollars more than just getting a sandwich on its own and for the beverage and the appetizer you can get with the entrée it’s worth it. Yes, I know the prices. Here are a bit more expensive now their locations but when I looked at what I got here and the service that I received. I am more than happy to pay that here. This is a good venue for anyone in town or out of time.
My family and I are very proud to be one of the original customers of this restaurant when it first opened many years ago and I have been a dedicated loyal returning customer, but I wanted to express today my gratitude for the wonderful problem-solving skills that the manager, Allison and our waitress, Emma were able to accomplish in this lengthy meal And we left with big smiles on her face and happy. I have reached the end of space I’m allowed to use so I will...
Read moreIf you know me personally, you know we do not frequent chain stores of any kind. We typically shop and buy from local businesses. With that said, occasionally we do go to a chain business.
Today we went to the Chili’s in Brighton, MI. The front door had a sign that it will slam when you come in. One of the urinals in the men’s room doesn’t work. The place is aged and it shows. This place could use a facelift if they are to compete with the other local businesses in the area.
The food was good even though utensils were not provided. The beer specials are good value and the taps are producing a cold beer that tastes as it should. This is good considering many places have poor draft beer due to a lack of good maintenance programs, causing them to produce beers with off flavors. I also had a house margarita. (Pictured below in the pint glass). It was ok at best. The presentation is what you would expect. The flavor screams run of the mill drink. This is certainly not a craft cocktail but I have had lesser drinks in other places. The other drink I had was the Tequila Trifecta. (Pictured below in the rocks glass) The drink is definitely tequila forward. While it is not a balanced cocktail, it is something I would expect a corner bar to make. It was very boozy forward yet drinkable. The presentation was what you would expect for a margarita.
Overall, we had an ok experience in this Chili’s restaurant. It wasn’t an experience I would not be jumping up and down for. If the service was better or the drinks were a little more balanced or the disrepair of the place was addressed this could have been a better visit. I was not overly impressed, but I also do not have anything that would make me call the manager over to talk. So if you’re looking for an ok experience, this is the place for you. The food is decent and the drinks were ok. Nothing that will knock your socks off. While we did recommend Chili’s, this was based on our typical experience there and not just on the experience we had the other night.
I am adding an edit to this review. Both of us that visited Chili’s that night had other issues. Let’s just say the dinner couldn’t wait to leave us as soon as we made it home. I adjusted the food down because of this and I would certainly reconsider making this a recommendation...
Read moreUpdate: 4 months later, I returned since I was given a $20 gift card by Chili's because of my last experience. Had to send the burger back to the kitchen 4 times to get everything right. Why can't you learn how to not burn your burgers? I'm done. It's really sad because you have great burgers and great fries and I just don't understand why you can't figure out how not to burn them or cook them as ordered. I called to place my to-go order in specifically ask please do not allow the cooks to burn the burger. That's what they did. Also, why are the chicken nachos not the To-Go menu to order online? You have to call to place that order. There's more than one review here that points out burnt burgers. Chili's you obviously have a few problems that you really don't care to fix.
This location used to have great food. Since covid you cannot get a burger cooked correctly. I have spoken to a manager and the staff the last five or six times that I have ordered. The burger is either completely burnt on both sides or one side. I ordered this week and the burger was burnt on one side and well done as opposed to medium rare . And, I ordered chicken nachos and there was no jalapenos and no cheese! I checked the order before I left and asked the employee about the cheese on the nachos and she checked with the kitchen and I guess they ran out of cheese. I said well there's cheese on my burger and so can you give me sliced cheese and I proceeded to put the sliced cheese on the nachos myself at the restaurant before leaving. The service here is just not good, as well as, the food anymore! It's really sad because Chili's has the best burgers! And amazing fries. I just don't know what to do to get their attention so they can improve their service...
