I believe that there is new managment here and training. Thus, I will modify this review when appropriate and do not write this to condemn hard workers in my home region. I would not under any circumstances go to this restaurant during rush hour. Instead, after asking the guy for two pennies, so I could pay 14.55 instead of 14,57, a volcano erupted. The lady who was serving kept her calm. However, the lady training Peyton threw lots of lava asking me NOT to bother her customers. I asked the customer to whom I was speaking if we could continue our conversation and she said why yes. Then, the lady said I will call the cops if you do not get your food and leave. She did invite everyone to a beverage on the house. In addition, the server not Peyton was the one who explained the add on, thus saving me three dollars. I lost my dollar salad coupon and did not get a salad. Nor has the credit hit my account. In 90 degree weather, calling the cops is NOT an appropriate response to a customer. Everyone heard including a man who is half Spanish, half USA, like me.He understands that I was born in Gate City, left here for Europe, Richmond, Charlottesville and New York where I worked on companies like Wendy's and Day's Inn where I am working in Bristol, Virginia as a scout for national service. GO TO MCDONALD'S IN WALMART. The trainee there is super as is her manager. Sorry, but I will recommend that our guests not go to Wendy's at lunch hour. Good luck. I knew of Mr. Thomas in the day. He has a great daughter, called Wendy, if I am not mistaken. It is also a Christian family who believes that anger is the fourth mortal sin and the tongue is a horrible weapon. The Epistle of James also says if two customers come in, one finally dressed and one in worker's attire as I was today, there should be no distinction. I pray for all involved that God would move to help us all get along....
Read moreUpdate, February of 2023 Today I went through the drive-thru and ordered their new garlic fries and a large bucket of spicy nuggets. Unless you have a tray in your vehicle to catch all of the oil and butter that runs out of the container, I would not recommend buying it. The mess they made in my truck was unforgivable. They now sell large buckets of nuggets and don't give you enough dipping sauce for half the bucket. Trip business this size, they are not hitting the mark. The last time I bought the nuggets, I got a ton of single containers and a ton of sauce. This time, not the case. No consistency....
This evening I waited in the Drive-Thru behind one car for 12 minutes. The car in front of me was given a small bag that could not have contained more than a sandwich or two in it. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and nothing else. You would hope they would have had been considerate enough to not let my food sit there and get cold for 10 minutes while they let the other car sit in the Drive-Thru in front of me because they were obviously too lazy to bring it outside to them when theirs was done. Wendy's has taken a sharp...
Read moreI never waste time leaving reviews, but this place is worth one. Most unprofessional restaurant I've ever been in. Don’t assume I’m expecting too much either. I get its a fast food joint with a lot of young employees but this was excessive. The lobby was nice and other than one sandwich being prepared wrong, the food was honestly ok. The atmosphere given by the employees was the issue . Everyone there was wearing t shirts that looked 10 years old and cussed like sailors. There were people who didn’t work there or at least off duty walking in and out of the kitchen with some puppy in there arms. No one preparing food wore gloves. Nearly every one there with the exception of one young man with glasses who took my order, was interested in helping me and my group as they were much to busy petting the dog. Lobby drink machine had no drinks whatsoever. Gives an otherwise nice place “at least in appearance “ seem like an absolutely trashy mess. Horrible experience,...
