Phở Lemongrass — Restaurant in Brookline

We arrived at 3:20 and were immediately seated, though the waiter didn't acknowledge our presence, just turned and walked off towards a table. We were seated and provided water. We then sat there and waited 10 minutes for the waiter to come back (there were 3-4 other tables and another waitress was seeing to them). I asked if the lunch menu was still okay. He said yes. I ordered and he interrupted me, looked at his watch, and said it was after 3:30 (it was 3:32). I had to reorder from the dinner menu. We then waited maybe 10 minutes for our food. The food was poor quality and did not appear to be fresh in any way. I ordered chicken but the meat I received was NOT chicken. I didn't get sick later but I was quite nervous about it. The worst service! I walked in w my child, not offered a drink. My child ordered a small Pho Bac Diet, I ordered an adult "large." The summer rolls were exptremely small, and a bit frozen and GROSS! The soups arrived, they small was with 3 slices of meat, and the bowl was full of broth and hardly no noodles. The large was with 5 slices of meat, a long piece of tendon that looked like a rats tail. Gross! The large soup was not a large. The worst service ever! I made a complain to the owner, she screamed at me, very unprofessional and putting her ✋ to basically stop me from eating her know about my service, she slammed the receipt on the counter, and told me she didn't have my bank card when it was in the card reader. Service was just okay. Other Pho restaurants leave napkins, sauces and chopsticks on the table, Pho Lemongrass tables don’t have that. You have to get it from the wait staff, problem is, they forget and you end up having to wait for a spoon, for Hoisin sauce, etc. And, when you’ve eaten up your Hoisin sauce, you have to wait again for more.

Portions are relatively smaller than their competitors. The sampler platter is priced at two appetizers, portion for one hungry person (2 chicken wings, 4 spring rolls, 2 fried dumpling-like items).
