I was staying in the Holiday Inn not far from here. I wanted something to eat, so I chose this place. The atmosphere seemed nice. There was inky 1 table being served at the time. I had take-out. I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor and 1 Elote with 2 Mexican Coke. An order of Flour Tacos comes with 3 tacos, and corn comes with 5. I had the flour. Delivery of the food from order to in-hand was quick. Once I got back to my room, I consumed the food. The tacos were flavorful, but left more to be desired. They only included 3 small wedges of pineapple instead of enough pineapple for more than 1 bite. There were some lightly sauteed onion, chopped onion, and chopped cilantro. I asled for Salsa Roja and Verde. I didn't like either. Both were way too spicy for my taste, so I didn't bother with it. The Elote came with butter, mayo, cheese, Chamoy, and firey cheetos. Since I already don't like those kinds of cheetos, I didn't use them. I mixed the other ingredients together, and then ate it. The flavor was alright. Not bad, but not "blow-your-socks-off". They do offer cocktails like margaritas, and suck, but assuming they're in a standard - type cocktail cup, they're way overpriced. $15 for a cocktail in a small Mexican joint is insane pricing. Doesn't matter though, as I couldn't have it anyways. Just a heads up for those that do partake after seeing this review.

All in all, the food was quick and good. The staff was nice, and the atmosphere from what I observed was good. 10/10...

I used to love this place. The food was amazingly good and the closes to what Mexican food tastes. It used to be a very nice lady taking our orders and the tables were always clean. Yesterday my husband and I went and it was a huge disappointment. A guy named Jesus took our orders and 3/4's of my drink was filled out with ice. The horchata was nasty and the front kitchen smelled bad. After we ordered we sat down and the table right under neath the t.v. was that guy (Jesus) sitting down playing with his cellphone and watching a movie. It bothered me because as an employee he shouldn't have been sitting on the places reserved for customers. They were a few tables dirty but this guy was rather having a break. My huge disappointment was the food. Besides it was less quantity in the plates served the taste was different. The tortillas were dry and the meat was hard and for the first time it had meat fat. The cook hardly put fried onions. My husband disliked his plates. The gorditas he used to get before came with lettuce, as yesterday they didn't put none on his. In general we were very dissatisfied with the customer service and food. After driving home my husband and I got really bad headaches and diarrhea. We won't go to this place anymore. We do not...

I attempted to call in an order and no one answered my call so I drove 40 minutes to the Brookshire location to pick up food. Upon arrival, the open sign was flashing ā€œopenā€ and after getting out of my vehicle the lights were turned off. Determined to order the food that my family and I have LOVED for years despite the long distance we always prefer this location, I proceeded towards the entrance. Immediately after walking through the front door I was informed by the cashier/cook that they closed in 10 minutes and that the fryers had been turned off. Such a lovely greeting might I add. The hours posted on google are incorrect because it stated 10pm which is why I made the long drive in the first place. Lack of customer service and friendliness will probably keep me from ordering again. I’m extremely disappointed in the service we received at this location that I will never return again. Having worked at a restaurant myself you never treat your customers in the manner I was treated. Your employees should learn basic customer service skills.

We were looking for good Mexican food in the area since we were visiting and my brother recommended this place because he’s been here before. Oh my! Am I sure glad he told us about this place! The food was AMAZING and I have to say the Taco Mix plate is the best order of tacos I’ve ever had! The food is rich in flavor and true to the authenticity of Mexican food. The Spanish music made the ambience even more authentic to the heart of Mexico. Eduardo was our server and he was so kind and helpful! Thank you for making this a great first visit Eduardo! FYI - We told our friends about how good the food is here and they are coming tomorrow to eat here since they are also visiting the area. ā˜ŗļø

I visit this restaurant regularly. Usually I would give it 5 stars but today the service was off a bit. I walked in at 1:59 PM and waited at the counter. By the time the worker took my order, it was 2PM. I ordered the lunch special. She told me she couldn’t give me the special because it’s over at 2PM. I explained it was 1:59 PM when I walked in. She still refused. The manager came out and I explained to her and she told the young woman to honor the special price.
