The hostess was nice, and that is about where the good ends. As someone who oversees multiple concepts for a living my standards may admittedly be different and I may notice things that others do not. With that said though its Red Robin, no one is expecting to be blown away, just not severely disappointed. The wait to be a greeted was long, I didn't time this so can't say exactly, but I'd wager it was over the two minute benchmark. Finally Kyle came by and we ordered NA bevs and kids food. Leaves to place the order, some time passes and he comes back with our two waters only (no kids drinks), we order a beer and a canned seltzer, items that may take a couple minutes if the place is slammed, which it wasn't by any means, and the adult items. After a couple of minutes I start paying attention to the passing of time because everything is operating slowly and there are only three other tables in the area we're sat at the time. After 11 minutes of time passes we receive the first our items, the two adult entrees... Still no kid food, kid drink, or alcoholic beverages. Admittedly, I'm probably irritated so I inform the food runner, who turns out is the manager of the timing. She leaves to bring back the two drinks, still no kids food. The kids food finally comes, and it had clearly been sitting in the window for some time, scalding hot serving dish and rock hard crust. The manager informs me of the frustration and newness of the staff, all fair in todays hiring environment but an excuse nonetheless, albeit an excuse I can sympathize with. Okay. We were then avoided like the plague until I was quite literally done with my meal when Kyle came back to ask how the first few bites were... At this time the only thing we needed was a refill for one of the two kids... After 7 minutes this had not arrived and a bill was brought by... My meal was comped which was not asked for, or expected, I'd have much preferred good service and food from the get go, but again, not expecting to be blown away. All this to say, I encourage you to go back to the drawing board overall. The hiring and training process is clearly in disarray and the standards of service appear to be quite low and when there are issues in any of the aforementioned departments the lack of empathy and problem solving appear to be nil. I hope you are able figure...
Read moreI have been a customer since early 90's.
Last night (4/15/23) I ordered Fish & Chips and a Margarita drink (tasted like water, with no alcohol) and 2 house salads. House salads are free unlimited when you order your main food.
My server was (Alexis) and shift manager was (Meagan), and my receipt # is 380058
I asked my waiter (Alexis) for crispy fires, but fries came to me all soggy and had to ask again for crispy fries. I asked for vinegar for my fish and never got it, Service was very bad. I asked for my check and noticed manager (Meagan) had charged me for 2 salads I ordered which were supposed to be free according to the menu.
After complaining about the check, (Meagan) deducted one of the salads and still charged me one salad ($6.99) which should have been free. I had to complain again to remove the 2nd salad.
Meagan apologized and said it was a mistake and pretended to be nice and friendly to me but I left upset since this act was purely intentional, and not a mistake.
I call it intentional since they should have removed both 2 salads at the same time if this was a mistake and they sincerely realizing that salads are free unlimited with your main food as it is written very clearly in the menu. But they did NOT remove both charges for salads only removing one, and still charged me with one salad which should have been removed and free of charge.
PLEASE BE AWARE,,,,,, look at your check carefully, they will charge you for free items if you are not careful, and when you do not pay attention!
I have already called and reported this intentional act to higher up corporate management for very bad service, dishonesty and fraud. I will also report this act to much higher up CEO of Red Robin Corporation. I am 70 years old, I have been a customer since early 90's. I know the difference between a mistake and a deliberate act of...
Read moreIt's a Red Robin. If you've never been to one it's a slightly expensive burger joint. The fries are good. Not my first visit and probably not my last but you need realistic expectations coming here.
You can order and pay on the kiosk at the table which means the wait staff will bring the food and refill beverages (hopefully). I have never had a server offer a refill, I always have to flag them down.
The food is okay. The days of ordering the meat cooked to your liking are gone. You get it one way. I ordered a salad today for the first time. The salad plate looks deceptively large. While it looks like something I'd put out for a family meal it feeds 1. I needed a spoon to eat it as everything was sliced so tiny my fork could not pick up the eggs or tomatoes. But, the waiter never came by to request one. I need to remember not to order bacon at Red Robin as I'm disappointed each time I forget. The bacon that comes on the salad is basically bacon bits. The staff tells me they make it there but it is very small and very hard.
This particular location has the worst restrooms I've ever seen. To wash your hands you must stand inches away from the stall doors. So using those stalls is not an option if people are at the sink and if someone is at the outside sink it is difficult for anyone to get to the inside sink. I was going to reach for a paper towel but realized if I had, I would drip water all over the woman's back at the next sink. It's tight! I would not be able to mauver a wheelchair in there. Also, I had to ice my hand at the table because someone flushed a toilet while I was washing my hands and the water scalded me. I am an adult. Can you imagine a child? Dangerous hot!
I come for fries and spiked lemonade. There are at least 3 restaurants within walking distance that serve a much...
