I’m only rating two stars because the food was actually good, which is nothing in comparison to their service.
We arrived, hoping to go through drive thru, but cones were set up in front of the lane, so we had to go inside. I wasn’t that upset, thinking they only had 2-3 people working shift.
I was dead wrong.
You could easily see a group huddled in the back just sitting and talking. I really hope they weren’t on the clock because that’s money going straight down the drain. So now I’m upset wondering why there’s so many employees here but they can’t even run a slow drive thru? Even if they were on break, at least have them sit in the lobby or out of sight where it doesn’t look unprofessional.
The team member who took my order was actually friendly, accurate, and was very knowledgeable of the menu. Everyone else at this location, however, thinks that it’s social hour.
Another member (I believe a manager since he was wearing a blue shirt) bagged our order, which was 2 $10 boxes. When we arrived to the hotel, we noticed that he only gave us 1 $10 box. We were also only given 5 out of 6 tenders.
We called the store, and all they said when they picked up the phone was “Hello?” like we were calling a neighbor. It was really odd not having a confirmation that I was calling the establishment, you know, like every other restaurant in the history of ever!?
We told them we were coming back so we could give them a heads up. When I arrived, everyone was standing around the front counter talking, so when I approached, all the team members were staring uncomfortably at me.
On top of everything, it was my girlfriend’s birthday. She could’ve chosen anywhere to go to dinner, but chose Popeyes, hoping for a great experience. I should’ve told her that miracles of that size don’t come quite often.
The owner of this store needs to take accountability for the people that are employed here. The management are just base-level members who know a little more positions, but have absolutely no leadership skill whatsoever. After reading all of these reviews of the employees only showing up 20 minutes after opening with no apologies, consistently running out of chicken, and not informing the customers of swapping out product in their meal because they’re out, I’ve lost all hope for not only this store, but Popeyes in general.

Read moreMy opinion is going to differ from most and probably make some of you angry but at least I know some is evidence based. First, the chicken is too small? We eat too much meat as a society so cutting back probably won't hurt you. Unfortunately it's still a chicken life with environmental and labor effects in the form of ruined hands of the chicken processors.
2- southern green beans are supposed to be what you're calling overcooked. These are southern green beans and if you want to offend Southern and Mediterranean cooks, have at it. Otherwise, figure out what you're eating and don't expect it all to be Murican.
3- is this the one someone ranted about the soda machine? You know by now sugar really is addictive and there was a secret (not government) plan to hide it for decades? Yup. 's'true.
4- over a/c. I've noticed that too and hate it. I resent bringing a jacket with me in the summer.
Frankly, there's no reason to stop expecting your food to be made right as long as you have the time. It's ok to insist a re-order be done without extra waiting. I haven't had problems at Popeye's but I worked in real restaurants and know they can and should make things right. Calling corporate is fine too. (I read KFC reviews just before this and it sounds like they need 100's of calls to their corporate offices about the stores around...
Read moreWhere do I begin, me and my family have been to this Popeyes 3 times now and out of those 3 times the customer service has been absolutely terrible. When I first walked in there was 5 staff members which not one came up to help me out or greet me I walked directly to the front register and waited for about 5 mins not one greeted me or asked if I needed help. I started saying “excuse I’m here to place an order” just to get their attention and they looked over and looked the other way it was absolutely rude! About 4 crew members where at the drive through just looking at there phones laughing instead of helping the people in the lobby I wasn’t the only one waiting!! When I placed my order the lady behind the counter refused to put the sauce on my wings on the side for us and gave me attitude and said “WE CANT DO THAT” I didn’t make it a big deal so I said fine we went with a different wing which was the “ghost pepper” instead which where okay. we got 18 wings 3 different flavors plus fires and not to mention when we got home to eat they forgot our fries and put 5 wings in two of the 6 container wings which they claim it too be 6 ... I talked to Customer service online all they offered was a 10$ coupon towards my next order. point is I would never recommend this...
