Owner is a JERK. Here’s the story: My Mom purchased a $100 gift card from Tu’s and had me pick it up from the restaurant. Apparently they have two versions of their business card. One being a plain card with just name and contact and the other being labeled in small print “gift card” with a red line across the middle of the card. One of their employees mistakenly put the gift card on the wrong card and tonight the owner tried to invalidate that card. It still had $55 on it. We went back and forth and he ultimately accepted the gift card and stated, “no more!” I asked for the remaining balance in cash as this was a terrible experience and I just wanted the remaining money so I didn’t have to come back. They said no and proceeded to rip the gift card, again, saying “no more!” So effectively, they charged me $55.xx for a $21.xx meal. At this point, I knew I had to get police involved so I called them.
Police showed up and I explained what happened. An employee tried to tell the Officer I’ve done this before and I’m a scammer. I asked him how I have successfully “scammed” them 4-5 times before and it never was an issue until tonight? The employee and manager refused to acknowledge that their employee messed up by giving me the wrong version of their business card; repeating that I was a scammer. Needless to say, I did not get my $34 remaining balance and my reputation was slandered because they were saying I didn’t pay for the food and the gift card is fake. Also, they framed it in a way that made it seem like they comped my food. If I was really doing anything illegal, do you really think I’d stick around for the cops to come? Or better yet, be the one to CALL the cops? Come on.
So if you want to support an establishment that steals money from customers and slanders their name, this is the place for you. The owner is a complete unprofessional and the BBB needs to investigate...
Read moreI can't praise this restaurant enough! There are so many wonderful things to say about it. First and foremost, the customer service is absolutely top-notch! The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. To my surprise, even the chef personally comes out to clean up the table and asks for feedback on the food. And as if that wasn't enough, they even bring you chocolate after your meal!
Not only is the service exceptional, but the prices are also quite affordable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. It warms my heart to know that there are still hidden gems like this restaurant that prioritize serving delicious food without breaking the bank.
Speaking of delicious food, I highly recommend their fried egg rolls. They are crispy, flavorful, and simply irresistible! Another must-try is their combination fried rice. It is a delightful mix of different ingredients, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. And if you're a fan of a little spice, their spicy eggplant with beef is a definite winner. The flavors are bold and the dish is packed with a satisfying kick.
Overall, I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's a true testament to quality, genuine hospitality, and...
Read moreEdit: this was my second visit. My first is below and isc indicative of how awesome this place is. I wasn't feeling good last time and the pho hit the spot. This time I got my usual: combination rice plate. This was one of the best, if not the winner, for best Com Dac Biet in Denver. Same server as last time, I'd guess he works six days a week. He works his ass off and communicated well with other tables and people waiting on to go orders. I don't have many opportunities to be in the area when they're open but I highly recommend giving them a shot. It's small and probably family owned, it's hard to schedule for slow and suddenly get crushed by groups and to go orders but I watched them handle it with class.
Older review: I rarely get actual pho from Vietnamese restaurants. The combination rice plate is my go to. I wasn't feeling great though so pho sounded right. The spring rolls were awesome. They are careful with the sauce which is fine, better to ask for more than to throw away huge portions. The pho was awesome, I got rare steak and added shrimp. I wasn't able to finish it which is rare but I bet I will when I get home! Friendly...
