So I am going to start with the good first. We got there around 6:30pm and there wasn't anyone there. (could be good or bad) It was memorial day, so we took it as a win because I hate crowds and figured everyone was on the beach. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. We decided to order the parillada mixta. The charro beans were brought out first. They were so plain, the didn't have any tomatoes, I didn't get any onion or bacon or cilantro in my cup. I tried to put pico de gallo in it and it helped, but I shouldn't have to put anything in the beans to make it taste better. Granted, the beans were salted, but they lacked ingredients. I told my husband if this is an indication of the food to come I was worried. So the parillada arrived, it had a good helping of avocado. The fajitas were really good and so was the sausage, but the ribs were so bland and mostly fat. The chicken was red, but lacked any seasoning. I am glad it was cooked thoroughly, but it was so bland. This place used to be delicious when it was in Olmito, but we won't be coming back. I wasn't impressed at all. The fajitas were delicious, but we didn't want just...
Read moreToday I called in an order and asked if el alambre was the plate that had only fajita, rice, and guacamole because I don’t have a menu. The party who answered said yes. Then I get my plate and it wasn’t the fajita only plate (later I find out it is called an asada what I wanted). I called back and the same party who answered says I didn’t ask them that (insinuating I lied). I told him I did ask if this was the fajita only plate and then he says, well yes it has fajita, bell peppers, onions, and bacon (which he did not say when I first called). Not going to be ordering again from this location.
If someone is asking what comes in a plate for a delivery order, it is because we don’t have a menu and want to confirm what we...
Read moreThis was by far the best Mexican food restaurant I have ever eaten at! Everything was made fresh, was full of flavor, & completely authentic. This was not your typical mexican restaurant with all the fooforahh hanging around. This was a locally owned and operated place with 4 or 6 place settings at small patio style tables and a modern exterior entrance. Drinks are served in a can with a cup of ice. We had the Alambriza for 2-3 ppl that was served with homemade pico, homemade charro beans, and fresh corn tortillas. The kids had the quesadillas with cheese and fajita meat. It was all so wonderful and tasted great. All for $40 & I...
