Moe’s Benton/Bryant location used to be one of our favorite places. Food was fresh and delicious. Today, we brought our teenage son here for his birthday dinner. First off, the young lady behind the counter dissed us as we walked in. Seemed like a forever wait. Then, when she finally did wait on us, she debated that Moe’s had never served romaine lettuce for their salad bowls—fine—we’ve been there many times and this is the first time they did not have romaine lettuce as an option. Oh well. I got over that. Next, I asked for a small queso which she forgot and I had to ask the next person who finished assembling our salads to please include a small queso on the side on my order. The only open table was horribly filthy. No one offered to clean it so my husband got napkins and water from the soda machine and cleaned it. We sat down to eat and the only salsa worth eating from the salsa bar was the tomatillo salsa. The red salsas were watery and tasteless. When it came to the salads, both my husband and I kept getting a horrible salt overtone in our salads. I mean as if someone just dumped salt in it. I’m a Tennessee girl who grew up eating Clifty Farm country ham so something is too salty, believe me, it is WAY TOO salty. We both bit into the guacamole and it was as if someone turned up the salt shaker and dumped it into the guac. It was HORRIBLE. The after taste would make a water buffalo pass out. My husband went to the register to let the staff know. We are not complainers as we are business owners and business professionals. The girl replied “I don’t eat guacamole.” He was like “I just wanted your staff to know.” No one offered to make anything right, nothing. No apology, nothing. It is sad such a great, fresh restaurant can go from being so clean, tasty, and enjoyable to being nasty, filthy, and disgusting. We will not be back to this Moe’s location, unfortunately. I hate leaving this review and we are not complainers but for $36, we could have had a much much better...
Read moreMose is a good place to eat at and the atmosphere is really good but there are some days where they do not have time to clean their areas like the lobby because they’re so busy up front trying to get everybody’s food and that there are kids that work there as well, and are learning as well and some of the customers that I’ve seen need to be a little more patient because it is a family type restaurant and they’re not always going to be on top of it all the time. There are gonna be some days where they’re going to be lacking and they’re trying to catch up and there are other days that they will be on top of it, and they have everything done and they’re getting the food out quickly so it all depends on the days and the people that are working in there. And if people will just stop and look around where they are in the restaurant, they would know that queso is extra, guac is extra, extra food is extra, if they were just look or ask, but they will let you know if it does cost extra and I can say from working at Moe’s for 2years and 10 months That they do make the food fresh like the salsa and the pico and the guac they make all that fresh and if you do have a complaint they always let the manager know. It also depends on the manager if they’re doing something about it as well , but then again, this is still a place where kids like 16, 17 and up can work at so I don’t think customers should be too intense on them especially if they’re still learning the ropes but yeah overall Moses a good place to eat at I would definitely go back again. Good atmosphere. They’re sweet they talk to you they let you know if they don’t have something and they will try to accommodate that sometimes if they can but obviously, if they don’t have it, there is nothing they can Bo about that and that’s just how it is but yeah Mose’s is a place to go to if you want to eat with family...
Read moreI tried to keep my expectations low, but this was still terribly disappointing. I just moved here after living in Austin, Tx for 8 years. I'm familiar with Tex-mex. if I'm being completely honest, this was not much better than Taco Bell. I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I feel like this place is a joke. They advertise on several displays around the menu and on the kitchen back wall that the pico de gallo is "made fresh every day". I don't know what that slop was, but it was not fresh pico de gallo. If you're going to use what looks like canned tomatoes in pico, then don't advertise it as "made fresh daily". That would be like going to an Italian restaurant for made-fresh-daily spaghetti and getting canned Spaghettio's. The guacamole was worse though. Again, advertised as "made fresh daily". It was clearly made with that pre-mashed vacuum-sealed God-only-knows-how-old-that-is green goo in a bag that is disguised as avocado, but it definitely, DEFINITELY does not taste like avocado. I paid $10 for garbage. Go to Chilis next door instead. I'm not a fan of Chilis, but it's...
