Rudest service from a waitress ever. The owner Loretta told us that we could take a small side table and pull up a chair. About a minute later the waitress, rudely told us we were in the way and had to move. If we hadn’t already paid and we’re super starving, I would’ve left right then. She marched us outside where it was starting to rain and removed a woman with two small children from that table simply because they hadn’t ordered yet. That woman was smart and left. I wish I had done the same. We managed to race for a table inside after a while of sitting outside. Every table we say at was sticky. Our food took much longer and when it arrived, it was honestly simply ok. You’d think after being that hungry and waiting that long that it would taste like the best food ever. I’d recommend Naebers (the drive in). Much better food and for a little cheaper. Only good I’d say, is that the other staff including the owner were kind and I was offered a gluten free bun. If you dare to go, skip the automated early tip and wait to leave cash on the table at the end. Hopefully the other staff manages to get most of that tip I left. Also, don’t go at...
Read moreComing from out of state I was just looking online for dining options. When I saw the name I didn't even bother to click since I assumed it was actual snack food and fried. Once we got to town, the place recommended to us was closed so we walked down the street and saw the menu of Snak Shak. Well I'll be. They had burgers, wings, a few salad options, black bean burgers, and more. To top it off, while the staff were younger, appearing to be high school ish aged, they were delightful, service minded, and very kind. I highly recommend! Oh by the way, I had a Caeser salad with black bean burger and my husband had a hot dog combo. It was high quality and filling. The romaine was the dark green and fresh, his dog toppings were not skimped on either and also...
Read moreVery pleasant experience! The available seating is limited to perhaps 15 but the staff were hustling and the food was really good. I had the club sandwich which was huge and the perfect combination of ham, turkey, lettuce, tomato and mayo! My son had the chicken finger plate which included 6 chicken fingers and fries. Although a picky eater, he actually ate everything off his plate. My wife had the chicken salad. Home made and delicious was her report. Everyone had sweet tea and it was fresh and perfectly sweetened. Choice was with or without lemon! Overall a really good lunch was had by all. A hidden gem! If you ever find yourself in Bryson City NC, make your way over to Loretta's as I don't see how you could ever be disappointed! Highly...
