Me and my bf went here for lunch after a date. I’m severely allergic to diary and was so excited to try the food here. I cook a lot with dairy free cheese and occasionally I eat vegan chicken tenders because I really like them and I think they are better than real chicken. We got cupcakes and they were absolutely DELICIOUS. They were to die for and me and him will be returning to get those. Especially the cookie butter one. The food on the other hand…. Absolutely no. The loaded fries were okay but my bfs Mac and cheese tasted so disgusting, it tasted like pasta and thick water with no seasoning. The store brand is 10x better. I got the bacon chicken ranch sandwich and the chicken tasted like a dirty rag, there was literally a few drops of ranch on the sandwich and when we asked for more it was 2.00 dollars for a small little side of ranch which is ridiculous. The ranch also tasted like nothing. The pasta salad was okay. The bacon on the sandwich looked so disgusting that I didn’t even try it and the bread???? Very confused on why that was also terrible. I don’t remember if it was gluten free or not but I also eat gluten free bread on occasion and have never ever had bread like that. I never write reviews on restaurants but this experience had me very upset. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time and I ended up very disappointed. The workers were very kind and service was good! I don’t like the stares I got from the customers who were there and it made us kinda uncomfortable. I hate to speak bad on business’s or post things like this because I know it can turn customers away and affect them but this is the honest truth. I really hope the food is better in the future and I may try it again in a few years. But until then I will stick with my own dairy free cooking at home and not waste...
Read moreNo shade but I find the palates of all the folks raving about this place highly questionable 😅 people don't know good food these days and are too easily impressed.. I've been plant based half of my life and wanted to love this place but honestly found it to be borderline just not good. I came in with an appetite, so I ordered a large loaded nachos, breakfast burrito, and a cupcake for dessert. Sadly the "tastiest" item I had was the darn cupcake. 😢 Being puerto rican from NYC I guess my standards are probably much higher when it comes to flavor and food bc hunny.. the flavors are not there. Specifically that burrito. I found myself trying to finish it out of the mindset of not wanting to feel like i wasted my money here instead of it actually being at all tasty.. 🤢🌯 so that sucked but also the nachos were not the best either just very basic, nothing unique about them and just looked alot pretty and tastier than they actually were. I feel like if your used to eating frozen vegan junk food/ meals or never had plant based cusine with culture and flavor you would be impressed by the food here 🤷♀️🫤.. atmosphere is very calm and layed back. It wasn't very busy when I went into order, probably due to rain but Christian was very pleasant and helpful. I think one of the best vegan nachos I've had would probably be from jajaja in the city. The ones from this place did not stand a chance but in my mind I was so hungry I'm like you can't go wrong with nachos it's so easy to make them taste bomb but yeah these were like a 6/10 if...
Read moreI was excited about eating here. The ambiance was that of a college food service place. It was obvious that the company hired nice people who have no kitchen experience. It was EXTREMELY SLOW getting food. Beyond reasonable. I was expecting a lot more quality. One of the obvious ones is the fries. They're leaning towards being the battered Fries that you find in the worst unhealthy restaurants. I ordered the Philly cheese sandwich which was a complete failure. Just simply should not be on the menu. It is terrible. My wife had the sassy molassy tofu sandwich and that was great . We had to share that because mine was not edible. And of course we had the $3 upcharge bad fries. We picked through those, as we (crazy) came hungry. We then drove to the co-op so I could get something good to eat. My frustration with these plant based eating places is well deserved. All it takes is hiring ONE PERSON who actually has real kitchen experience and they can teach the people who have none. I have over 12 yrs experience, and I can tell when a place has none. Being plant based, this place left me sad, because I just can't see how I can go back. College ambiance, no thanks. It was a Saturday night and as my wife said, they have no A team crew here. I hope someone in charge reads this, and they sort out the...
