It’s been a while but we were looking for a good place for breakfast in this town, so anyway driving down the highway we saw that a lot of cars were parked in front of this place coyote café II anyway so they seat us and basically throw some menus at us, and I start to ask the waitress, can’t remember her name nor do I want to, I was starting to ask what items were homemade? And specifically asked her about corn beef hash to see if they made it at their location , she snarled back at me and said no comes from a can, everybody loves it! then I asked about biscuits and gravy, Her reply was that they do not make the gravy nor do they make their own biscuits? For people who are out there and want to read this review and if you know how to go buy a box of Bisquick you can still make a reasonably good homemade biscuit, apparently this place does not figure out how to do that? I’m not sure why we stayed after this but we did order some breakfast and it was very pedestrian nothing to write home about at all but when I asked the very same wonderful waitress could I have some salsa to go with my omelette, she grabbed a bottle of ketchup and threw it down on the table and said here’s your homemade salsa? I really couldn’t believe it! Anyway needless to say we will never go back to this theoretical restaurant. One more point to make is that most of the people in there that were eating looked elderly I am not a young guy anymore but I still have my taste buds! I guess what I’m trying to say is that as people get older they say they lose their taste for food? Maybe this is why this place gets good reviews of course except for mine and a couple of others! Anyway folks take your chances but there are better places to eat breakfast in or near...
Read moreNice casual spot. I really like how it's all booths! Me, my husband, and our two year old daughter came here for breakfast the other morning. It was packed! We waited 30-45 minutes to get a booth. We both ordered the chilli cheese omelets with eggs and hashbrowns. My daughter got a pancake with sausage and eggs. I absolutely hated my omelet. I've ordered a chilli cheese omelets from other restaurants and always love it but they chilli was just really gross. The biscuts and gravy weren't that great either unfortunately. They gravy was thick and and bland. My daughters sausage was sorta hard. Like it was pre-made and just sitting out. My husband got a sprite that was really watered down. He asked to exchange it for and orange juice and is was brown in color.. my favorite thing was the hashbrowns. They were cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My plate was almost as full as when I got it, when we left though. That's never a good sign. I probably won't go back to this establishment but I did like the seating and the fact that they served hot coffee tableside (which I didn't get but I was offered and I overheard other customers comment on the hot coffee) the customer service was...
Read moreA diamond in the rough! We visited Laughlin this past weekend. I like to visit family businesses when I travel rather than big chain stores. Coyote Cafe did not disappoint!
When you first walk in you're not sure what to expect. The door didn't have a sign so I wasn't sure we were even supposed to use it. However, what a warm atmosphere when you enter! The have cute signs for sale (I suggest putting one on their main door!) to read while you wait to be seated, which wasn't long. They were busy, but the wait was only about 10 minutes. Furniture is dated.
The waitresses were so attentive and friendly. They seemed to genuinely like working there. We were asked multiple times if we needed anything...and not just by our waitress!
We had the "Moon River" breakfast. It was very good. Large portions. We couldn't finish it all. Best of all the food was very reasonably priced. $26 for two breakfasts and coffee.
I would definitely recommend visiting Coyote Cafe and look forward to...
