I’ll put a shorter review first, and if you’d like the details, skip to the longer text.
Great atmosphere immediately after entering, and service was great as the cashier was polite, friendly, and clear. Restrooms were very nice although with a strange stench. Food did take quite a long time but was good for the most part!
Here’s the longer review:
We’d heard about this place opening not too long ago, and after seeing that not much has been said about it, I decided to try it out and get these reviews started. We went on a weekday at around noon for brunch. Upon entering, it’s a nice well-lit interior with several different types of lighting fixtures, and a selection of music playing over these. The place where the customers are to be is VERY clean, and nice-looking. 5/5, nice, welcoming and hospitable atmosphere. Upon approaching the cashier, he greets and welcomes us. We look at the menu and order the Rosé Tteok-bokki and a whole chicken- 1/2 bone in original and 1/2 secret sauce. We didn’t get drinks, but they had several sodas which had diet and zero alternatives, along with several waters, teas, and juices. When we order, he is very polite and clear in speaking, and give us an estimate of our order time- 20 minutes. 5/5 service. I did need to use the restroom while waiting, so I’ll give you a few details. There are two single stall restrooms, each with a rustic-type theme, using pipes and wooden frames to decorate. There is plenty of space, and toilets are clean, although there is a strange stench about the air. The food did take about 45 minutes to be ready, though, to the point that around 6 people that were behind us in line got their food before us. This will sadly bring my service score down to 3/5 :(. We took it home to eat, and the Rosé Tteok-bokki was very buttery-creamy, lightly spicy, and seafood-y 5/5. Original crispy chicken was very, very crispy, with a nice flavor without being oily, although a little bland. 4/5. The secret sauce chicken had a nice sweet taste, almost a citrus-fruitiness, and a VERY mild spice. The crispiness isn’t as good or even as the original, but still a good flavor. 3.5/5. So, overall, I would say the food...
Read moreYesterday around 5:30pm I ordered almost $300 worth of chicken for a show. I called prior out of courtesy to make sure it was ok and they immediately answered the phone and said yes. When I went to pick up the order around 6pm, the 5'3" big headed woman there had a terrible bratty attitude. She either didn’t wanna be there or is just a miserable person because her level of customer service was non existent. I politely asked for a bag to put the plates, gloves, napkins and chopsticks and it seemed to go downhill from there— like I was really inconveniencing her. Before leaving, I asked if I could please get a printout of the receipt to submit to my job and she barely pressed a button on the register and said to get it from DoorDash. When I dropped off the chicken, people started asking what was what of all the different red sauces (Mala, Gangjeong..) since it wasn’t labeled. I called to ask how I can find out without tasting them all and she would just pick up the phone and immediately hang up— then not pick up at all after that. There was no one in the store before me or after me besides her and the cook. I can honestly say that I would rather drive to a different location over the hill at rush hour than come to this Burbank location again. I regret tipping in advance and wished it could've gone to just the cook, not to a...
Read moreBb.q Chicken is an alternative take on the whole hot chicken wing craze. This establishment focuses more on Korean style hot wings. The location is in the busy downtown section of Burbank. The place is bustling and lively, the interior is not too large, just a dining hall located next to a cash register with the kitchen behind it and a bathroom to the immediate right. A quick style snack The wings have a nice, crispy, sweet quality to their texture. The heat level is significant, so be aware of what you're getting. Also, the wings are very sticky, so you'll have a mess. There are wet naps and napkins by the front of the shelf of the garbage area. Enjoy the...
