If you've come across any of my reviews before then you know I don't give out 5 star ratings often, I reserve them for near perfect experiences and exceptional places and this Chuck E Cheese location is definitely the latter. Now, this does not mean there's no negatives. For instance, there's usually a game or two out of order but what can you do, kids are rough on things. The food is what it is, not exactly gourmet but at least a step above what you find at most kid's venues. Also, Chuck is often late and is occasionally a no-show for his hourly appearances but this only seems to happen on off/slow days and it doesn't upset me one bit because I think those people are heroes for even attempting to don that furry straight-jacket and dance with a bunch of wild children every hour. And that brings me to the first thing that makes this place the best: the staff. The people that work here genuinely care for the kids and are amazing at dealing with rude and impatient parents (who always have the worst behaved kids). They keep the place reasonably clean, which is a never ending battle with children, and they are always polite and helpful. We are regulars at this location for the last three years and we are always remembered and greeted warmly and whoever happens to be wearing the Chuck's skin when we are there always goes out of their way to make sure the youngest kids get a chance for some free tickets. Simply put, the people here are the best out of any Chuck E Cheese's we've ever visited. The second thing that makes this a 5 star joint: the beer, wine and coffee. These are the three things that keep me going as a parent. Coffee for the energy to keep up with the kiddies and a little alcohol to take the edge off of being asked the same question 20 times in a row. Are the beer and wine selection top notch? Absolutely not! But that doesn't matter because you can have a couple of drinks while your kids run wild in relative safety. It's like taking your children to a dive bar without all the judgment and bar-flys. My favorite is what I've dubbed the "coffee and beer sandwich." I start off with a coffee, have a couple of beers and end with another coffee. Perfection. I feel I should also mention that I am a 6'3” and 225lb full grown man so a couple of beers is enough to take the edge off without leaving me buzzed, your mileage may vary. Pro tip: if you find that you misjudged your wine or beer consumption and wind up a little tipsy then please don't drive home, I have never had an Uber or Lyft refuse to let me put a car seat in the back. Oh, and I almost...
Read moreDo not I repeat do not book a party at this location . We booked the biggest bday package they had for kids for my daughters birthday party on a Thursday . The location was not busy at all so that was not an issue . My issues were we were never called to be notified that a lot of the things that were in the package purchased were not available . The balloons they said were banned in Burbank . But we could have brought our own if we had been notified previously . The souvenir cups were not available . And although there is a production issue and they haven't had them nor do they know if they will get them back . They gave vouchers to get them on the next trip . We were also not provided " the new birthday hats" mentioned in the package. We added 4 children day of the party after receiving all the current kids and adults food . That should have included 2 pieces of pizza per child . That was never brought out . Day of event they comped the missing balloons with a voucher for 1000 tickets which we did not use because most of their prizes are chocking hazards or short lived . They were also pressuring us to give them good reviews during our party . We saw a family come in with tons of balloons and my daughters aunt asked how if they were supposedly banned in Burbank which they had no response to . After the party is when we realized the hats and additional pizza were not provided . We reached out this morning to speak to the store regarding these issues . Spoke to Matt who was incredibly rude and said the 1000 comp tickets were for the missing item . I was then transferred to Brianna the manager who was as rude as Matt . She claimed that the pizza for the original kids was enough for the 4 additional we added after so they didn't have to give us more food . Mind you these pizzas were served and cold by the time the 4 additional kids were added . And if they hadn't been added we would have had the same amount of pizza . Yet they charged me for the full packet per child . I was then told to call customer service regarding my issues .
So beware ! They will knowingly charge you for things they haven't had for awhile . But will give you 1000 tickets and tell you that's the replacement of your missing items . We paid for 16 children and their...
Read moreAs a CEC fan I wanna say this I’ve been hearing that locations originality/stage is numbered due to the fact that the 2.0 model exist however I’m just gonna say this the 2.0 model is one of the blandest and I mean worst models to come to any restaurant just what happened what happened to the old Chuck E. Cheese with the classic artwork purple walls tons of charm and stage now it’s just replace with a crappy dance floor that doesn’t even work half the time or barely anyone uses it. I went to a Chuck E. Cheese in Pasadena and yeah, no one uses the dance floor the dance floor not only gets boring very quickly but it’s also incredibly irrelevant. At least the animatronics were relevant because of YouTube videos and a little game called five nights at Freddy’s come on CEC you know better, but you’re doing these awful business decisions that are disappointing OG fans we get it you’re a kid’s restaurant however, not even the kids are happy over the remodels. I’ve been hearing that some kids miss the Animatronics yes that’s right miss them and you’re just destroying them and throwing them like trash like if they meant nothing to a person I’m just gonna say this FNAF saved your guys company it got more people interested in animatronic bands and just for you guys to destroy them is just awful. It was already bad enough when you guys closed locations like El Monte diamond bar and many others and now you guys are just wiping the original locations like if they didn’t exist and unfortunately this location is one of them it had a great studio C alpha and tons of arts and overall this was a great location but I guess we can’t have good things because you guys are gonna replace it with this bland remodel that no one wants. Please do better and come on this isn’t how you...
