Well, I was wondering why no one really talks about Outback Steakhouse (outside of those Blooming Onion lovers) when discussing the best steakhouses. The steak tastes so off (not in a health hazard way). I don’t know if it’s the seasoning (or lack thereof), or just the way they grill it, but it’s ultimately subpar. It has an almost burnt taste to it. It’s really not that great. For appetizers, I had their cheese bites. Also pretty funky tasting. Not good. The mashed potatoes were the real shocker. While I was expecting an actual cooked potato (skin and all like the pictures on their menus looked) it was basically just mashed potatoes shaped and topped with bacon bits, cheese, etc. That actually feels like a ripoff and I feel like they cheaped out on me. Even the fries weren’t all that great. Honestly, this was a real disappointment. On the one hand I am glad that I did go here because now I know what a subpar steakhouse tastes like: bleh. Service is…well, not great either. Barely checked up on me (which I didn’t care). But when it came time to pay, they took almost forever to come pick up my card. Almost walked out of there without paying (kidding). Honestly this is a pretty bad place. Not really great at cleaning tables. There was still like a noticeable lump of crumb left. Overall this is a straight 2/5 stars. Would I return? Probably if someone else pays for the food. Most likely: no. What a shame. Hopefully real Aussies don’t actually endorse Outback Steakhouse. They probably don’t. In the end,...
Read moreHadn't been to an Outback steakhouse in years, this one didn't disappoint, I ordered the NEW Blooming Fried Spicy Chicken burger with a side of fries. First impression upon arrival of meal was "WOW, they are extremely generous with their fries!" The burger was a tad bit lost amongst the huge portion of fries, which, by the way, I didn't mind one bit as I really enjoy fries. These fries were absolutely perfect. Nice size, not too thin, not too thick, and they were salted perfectly. The burger was on the smaller side, and the taste was just underwhelming. It was OK, but nothing that left an impression, I was expecting more spice, at it was a SPICY burger. It was fried perfectly, great crunch just lacked flavor. Service was excellent! ANDREA tended our table, #32, marvelously. She was sweet, efficient and overall VERY pleasant. Thanks for the warm bread, it was PERFECTION! Andrea was FANTASTIC! THANK YOU! The location was lively, music was catchy and there was definitely a family atmosphere at the restaurant, lots of kids, their joy was infectious! The place was, surprisingly, bit too crowded for a Saturday at roughly 5ish. Will definitely give this place another visit and try other items. Oh, almost 4GOT....BLOOMING ONION!!! Presentation is great, HUGE, seasoning is on point, did I mention HUGE, we brought half home to enjoy at a later time. I think this is a must try. Definitely good to share with a decent size party, there were 3 of us and we didn't make a dent on that behemoth. Very,...
Read moreStep aside Hollywood, the real star of Burbank is Outback Steakhouse! From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were entering a steak-scented oasis where flavor reigns supreme and calories don’t count (because joy burns them off, obviously).
Let’s talk about the Blooming Onion—that golden, crispy flower of the gods. She arrived at our table like Beyoncé at Coachella: iconic, dramatic, and ready to slay. One bite and we were hooked. Honestly, I’d die for her.
But the real MVP of the night? Joyce, our server, aka the Queen of Hospitality. Joyce didn’t just take our order—she took us on a journey. Sweet, inviting, and full of good vibes, she made us feel like we were regulars at a secret steakhouse society. Somebody give her a raise and a reality show.
Now for the main event: the steak and lobster combo? Chef’s kiss. It was like a surf-and-turf love story unfolding right on my plate. Tender, buttery lobster and a perfectly cooked steak that could win awards. Meanwhile, my partner was practically making out with his steak and chicken—he described it as “divine,” and he doesn’t use that word lightly.
All in all, this Outback isn’t just a restaurant. It’s an experience. A flavorful, cozy, downright joyful experience. We’ll definitely be back… probably for Joyce, and definitely for that damn...
