Teriyaki Tokyo inside the Burbank Mall was honestly one of the most disappointing food stops I’ve had in a while. The food was completely bland with absolutely no flavor, and to make things worse, the veggies were deep-fried in a heavy batter — which was surprising (and not in a good way) since the menu never mentioned it. The sushi rice was extremely overcooked and hard, and the rolls themselves had a cheap-tasting texture. The spicy tuna in particular tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for a few days, with that stale, unpleasant bite you just can’t ignore. Customer service wasn’t great either — most of the employees seemed uninterested, though I will say the one cashier was friendly and polite. That was the only bright spot in the whole visit. If you’re at the Burbank Mall and craving something with actual flavor, I’d recommend walking to the next establishment. This place is not worth the time or money.

For mall food you can do worse. Is the food bland? Sure, a little. Do the employees care? No, not at all. Are you subjected to babies crying and dogs barking as you try to eat your tempura? Yes, but you're already at the mall anyway. For like $13 you can get a very generous portion of chicken teriyaki. The flavor is not at all complex, but it's salty and satisfying. You're not gonna find yourself craving this, but don't believe the other comments calling this an abomination. It's totally passable mall Japanese.

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS Terrible customer service. Wouldn’t give me a fork because I couldn’t provide a receipt, which I unfortunately had thrown away. The employee directed me to the sign that says they don’t give out utensils to non-customers. These “rules” are completely unacceptable in today’s society. If you can’t give out a fork even to non-customers you don’t deserve my money.

Tokyo Teriyaki is an absolute gem! From the moment you step through the doors, the inviting atmosphere and delightful aroma transport you to a culinary paradise. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, showcasing authentic Japanese flavors that are simply hard to resist. I highly recommend their teriyaki chicken, which is perfectly grilled and glazed with a rich, savory sauce that balances sweetness and umami. The portions are generous, and everything is freshly prepared, making each bite enjoyable. Additionally, their sushi options are equally impressive, with vibrant colors and fresh ingredients that reflect the quality of the meal. The staff at Tokyo Teriyaki exude warmth and friendliness, ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of amazing. Their attentiveness adds a personal touch, making you feel valued as a customer. Plus, the reasonable prices make it easy to indulge in a delicious meal without breaking the bank. Whether you're dining in or ordering takeout, you won't be disappointed. Tokyo Teriyaki is a delicious destination that I can't recommend enough—truly a...

I went there today around 7:40pm. Asked for a salmon teriyaki and they told me they don't have it. I asked for BBQ short ribs beef and they told me they don't have it again. I told them it's in your menu. She said sorry we close the grill already. So I asked her what time do you close the store and she said at 9pm. She said they usually close the grill early and they have only teriyaki chicken. Then I asked to speak with a manager and she said we don't have a manager right now. What kind of business is this that hires a rude lady that tells the customers we don't have food because we close the grill at 7:40 but we actually close at 9. I hope the owner read my review. I don't recommend this...
