I will preface this by saying I really wanted to like Round Table. I have fond memories of Round Table pizza as a kid. Unfortunately, my experience did not match up. First, let's start with the pros:
Service: Friendly, and helpful. Speed: My pizza and wings order was ready for pickup within 20 minutes. Restaurant: clean and updated quite nicely. The dining area is all remodeled and they have a new beer tap system installed. They've also got a game room for the kids and a couple of tvs for sports.
Now, the cons: Pizza: tastes like a frozen pizza you'd get from the store. In fact, some frozen pizza I've had is better than the offering from round table. The slices themselves are floppy, soggy, and the actual crust almost nonexistent. It is overladen with sauce, to the point where it is almost all you can taste. It calls to mind school cafeteria pizza, but somehow even that is preferable. Wings: I ordered the traditional wings, and the wings themselves were ok. Not crispy, not very big, and not nearly enough sauce. Again, it calls to mind the frozen offerings from the local grocery store.
Overall, having spent almost $30 on a pizza and wings, the quality and taste of the food were extremely disappointing. Hopefully similarly to their dining room, they'll revamp their food too, otherwise I simply can't see them staying in business very long. There are 4 or 5 other, better pizza restaurants...
Read moreThis was my first time eating there since the outbreak of covid. I stopped going for a while because there was no salad bar. I had a taste for a salad and called the round table pizza in Federal way which is ten minutes from where I live and the person who answered the phone said there was no salad bar because some machine was broken. I then called the Burien restaurant and was delighted to find out that they were once again offering the salad bar.
The inside of the restaurant was very pleasing to the eye and inviting. Apparently they had recently painted in black and red, purchased new tables and chairs in black and red as well. There was also what appeared to be a self serve beer tap near the the cashier station as well. I may be mistaken about it being self serve.
As I have done in the past, I ordered the lunch buffet which was all you can eat salad, pizza and a drink. I love their salad bar with all of their fresh ingredients to choose from. Crispy lettuce, flavourful green olives, tasty cherry tomatoes, topped off with sunflower seeds, croutons and olive oil. It was so yummy.
The pizza, what can I say? They use only the freshest ingredients. I had the sausage pizza which had black olives, green peppers, onions, red sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. I was in heaven. Oh how I've missed Round...
Read morePoor poor poor customer service - had my son's bday at a place that does a deal with Round Table for bdays. We called RT the day of the party to place the order, they say the party place has to call and place the order. We then call the party place - "no that's not right, you should be able to place the order yourself and get the discount." The manager of the party place offered to call RT and sort it out; they took our order and called RT, then called back and said the order is placed, and gave us a total and time for the order to arrive. The time came and went, no pizza. We call RT and they claim the order was never placed, that they told the party place to have us call back. Then why were we told a total and a time for delivery?? Makes no sense!! I went to RT to ask what happened and the manager was very belligerent, making excuses and contradicting everything the party place manager told us. NEVER going to...
