This place has been around for a long time, I remember going here once before, maybe like 15 years ago. I'm happy to see that it's still here and survived covid. I just learned this place has been around since the 80s. Way longer than I thought and way before I was born, lol. Walking in this place ll it definitely looks and feels like a homey old school diner. Tanya took my order, and she was super friendly and helpful. She made me feel like I've been going here for so long. She made me feel like family.
I ordered:
Meat Lover's Skillet (secret menu) - Bottom has hashbrown and then layered with meat and cheese. It looks good and was maybe a little more than I expected. It was cheesy and salty with all the meats.
Chicken Fried Steak w/ over medium eggs and home potatoes (gravy on the side) - travels better so it's not soggy. This was super crispy still when I got home. It was delicious.
Portions are ginormous and have great service. Can't really ask for more. I can't wait to come back soon and try their other items. Parking wasn't too bad, I like that it's a little bit away from the busy area. It's a...
Read moreFor a little family owned restaurant in Burlingame across from the Caltrain station, this place is AWESOME! My dad and I always make a point of coming here when I visit him. The ambiance is very "old school diner" and there is indoor and patio seating. The menu is "traditional american" but it's of such a good quality that the food tastes amazing! The portion sizes are also very good, so you're practically guaranteed a good meal. Also, if there is something that you want that's not exactly on the menu, the staff is always happy to help and customize your order for you. Speaking of the staff, they are really friendly and love to laugh and joke with their regular customers so I recommend you get to know some of them. They are really kind and good fun! They only downside is that sometimes it's a little crowded and there is a wait, but that's just because this place is awesome! I would definitely recommend coming here for a meal whenever you...
Read moreBelow average greasy spoon diner food. Nothing spectacular. In fact you feel a little guilty afterwards because you just wasted so many calories on so little taste. Got the breakfast burrito and it was pretty gross. Went back a second time a few weeks later to try something else. Ordered online, Gave them 25 minutes to cook the food and drove there and there was still no food. They finally started my order and the lady at the register starts talking to me and asking me about the last time I ate there And what I ate and without my knowledge she goes back to the kitchen and changes my order from what I ordered online to another nasty breakfast burrito. Of course I don’t find out until I get home and I take two or three bites to see if it’s better and it’s not so I end up just throwing it away And having to yet go back out and get another breakfast. It ends up being an hour and a half ordeal and like $50 to get...
