I have never been to a worse restaurant. This place was highly recommended, however it has taken me several months to finally go. It was a nice warm SF day, so we opted to sit outside. Walking through the almost empty but extremely loud restaurant, we were seated on a patio with no other patrons, however the extended patio was full of young kids running around, screaming, knocking things over and opening restroom doors while people were inside. The parents and staff couldn't care less. Immediately after being seated the two tables next to us were occupied by two young couples with newborns that wouldn't stop crying. A few minutes later a large party of ~15 drunken bowling league members were seated and were very obnoxiously loud. A few were borderline belligerent already and they brought a six pack of cheap screwtop wines from the nearby BevMo with them, so obviously the situation would not be improving. After having finished our mixed greens salad which was swimming in dressing and our waiter nowhere in site, I turned to the hostess to be moved inside. However the noise level inside had not subdued and now almost every table had multiple babies and kids under 5, so I said cancel the pizza we would take our business elsewhere. A nearby server who heard nothing else and had no context said "Good, don't come back". My starving wife however suggested taking the order to go instead.
The manager apologized and brought us our check, the server brought our pizza in a box. I still tipped him graciously, but ran out of there as quickly as possible, never to return. Upon getting home, the pizza was barely passable as food and had to be reheated. The sauce and crust were disgusting and the other toppings were nothing worth going back for. I feel sick to my stomach after eating it.
My wife was saying it is not the restaurants fault, but it is. They allow kids to run around knocking stuff over, getting in peoples way and opening restroom doors. They allow staff to be slow and rude. They allow belligerent bowlers to bring more cheap wine. If I wanted a Chuck E Cheese environment, I would have gone to Chuck E Cheese, and the food was no better. It wasn't rubber on a plate, but it taste...
Read moreWe visited on Sunday afternoon. There was a party at the back of the restaurant so we sat near the bar area. There was 2 other tables with customers but the restaurant kinda looked dead with only the bartender was present.
The server told us to order by scanning the QR code on the table. We ordered Large Brass Monkey deep dish pizza for 3 adults. I wasn't sure about the ordering via the app so I asked the bartender if my order got in to their system yet and he said yes. Our pizza came out about 20minutes after I ordered (despite 30 mins notice when I ordered on the app).
Their deep dish pizza was quite big. However, each slice wasn't as deep as I've had from other restaurants. The unique part was actually the corn meal crust. The bottom crust stayed crisp with lots of sauce on top of it. The tomato sauce was good. Good amount of topping items and good stringy cheese. We were all enjoyed the pizza so much! We put honey at the end crust and the combo was as good as eating a corn bread.
The restaurant is located on a busy Milbrae street. There are some parking lots around but it was very busy on the weekend. We will definitely come back to try...
Read moreDELICIOUS FOOD. BITTER EXPERIENCE.
I don't like writing bad reviews, but I don't like poor customer service even more. It's funny how a couple of careless employees can taint a beloved business. My food, pizza+wings+salad, were outstanding as always. But my phone experience left a lingering bitter taste. The "girls" answering the phone tonight, a Saturday, did not listen to a word I said. Furthermore, they weren't clever enough to mute the phone while they made fun of me, using the F word a couple of times. All quite hilarious to them, as I listened on. Then, as one girl handed me off to another, she gave the wrong reason for WHY I was calling. One of them finally said, "...wait, is he still on the phone?" This person completely ignored me when I told her that I heard everything they said about me. Takes one to know one, and these girls seemed high AF. Eventually, I hung up from frustration. I'm not an unreasonable person, and I really like this restaurant, but I can't give this Blue Line Pizza anymore of my $$ if this is the type of treatment customers can expect when calling in. Not cool, Blue Line...
