Went for lunch yesterday with 3 friends. Usually like their pizza but you never know what you're going to get. Once in awhile it msy be excellent bt it often is be too salty and /or overcooked. Not that much ingredients on the pizza but I can forgive that when everything else is top notch. We also ordered the family ceasar salad and I must say, $28 for a salad that is supposed to feed 6 to 8 persons that end up so small I could it eat myself... As if it wasn't enough, much of the sald had rust stains on it, letting us know it was way past its prime. We've been going there since a couple of years but the more it goes, the less people I see eating there. The place seems deserted. I confess I only go there on Fridays for lunch so I'm not aware if it gets busier at other times. Not long ago they changed from self service to with service only, only raisng the price it costs when eating there. Since that time they also don't serve soft drinks in cans anymore, only in fountain. The drinks we received yesterday were all flat and had to be replaced, whick took a long, long time. The replacements we receive tasted like watered down. They also put waaay too much ice in the glasses.

About the staff. They are not disageable but they don't seem interested. I saw the pizza guy spend time on his phone and aslo saw a customer come in wait and wait and wait and finally leave.

What can I say, it looks like the business is not going that well and they are trying to find ways to save money by raising the prices, give smaller portions and go fountain with the soft drinks.

Yesterday it finally hit me when I saw it cost me $105 for a small and a large Meatza pizza, a family cesar salad and 4 soft drinks. It hit harder when I saw I was charged for the soft drink refill.

Enough ig enough. You lost 4 good...

I’m in town for a quick weekend getaway, from the NY-NJ metropolitan area and all I can say is W O W! I’m super impressed, I’m out of words. The oven brick pizza, was to die for. Crust was cooked to perfection, you can tell the yeast was set aside to be fermented before it was built into a pie. The ingredients was beyond fresh.

The Marinara sauce on the Margherita was lite, not overwhelming with the taste of tomato paste, it was perfectly seasoned. The cheese was thin enough to break in your mouth for an easy chew. It wasn’t like gum chewy , it was just right.

The meatball parm was MY FAVORITE ! The meat portion was a good amount, it was just enough. The pieces of meatball was crumbled, and the chicken parm was cut into small pieces it made it more enjoyable to eat. They weren’t obnoxiously big like NJ pizza is known for.

The wings were PERFECT! Had a just enough of sauce, the bbq was sweet and slightly tangy. The hot wings were good but they weren’t hot hot, it was slightly mild. Omg, don’t even get me started with the ranch, it’s clearly homemade and not store bought. It was delicious, I can’t believe how good it was. Might buy a container before I leave to go back home.

Overall my take out experience was outstanding, I’m extremely impressed ! NJ has alot of stepping up to do, seriously. This has been the pizza I’ve had my...

I find myself at a lot of the usual spots when I go to Burlington, but I wanted to mix some new restaurants in on my most recent trip.

This eatery is located not too far from Church St., but they have another one in nearby Shelburne too. Folino's is literally right behind the City Market, which comes in handy since this restaurant is BYOB. I ran into the market to pick up some amazing Stowe Cider beforehand!

The restaurant has a very casual vibe with plenty of tables inside and a few outdoors. There are also wood burning ovens in the rear.

We placed our orders at the counter and then sat down to wait for our food to be brought out to us.

You grab your own plates, glasses and anything else you need. I LOVE how they have chilled glasses available for your brews!

They do have a nice selection of pizzas, but I went with a basic standard cheese and tomato. I'd describe this as more of a gourmet style pie.

The pizza was amazing! So delicious and the toppings were very fresh. The crust was just perfect too!

Overall a great place and worth walking the few mins from...

Folino’s Pizza: Where the Crust is Crisp and the Tea is a Liar If you’re looking for pizza that’s better than "just okay" but won’t force you to auction off a kidney to pay for it, Folino’s is your spot. This place serves up pies that make other local pizza joints look like they’re still figuring out how to turn on the oven. Their standard hand-tossed crust is thin enough to maintain your dignity but still has that satisfying crunch -- like the pizza equivalent of a good potato chip. And if you’re feeling fancy (or just extra hungry), the Detroit-style deep dish is basically a saucy, cheesy swimming pool where each square is a tiny, delicious lifeguard coming to rescue you from hunger. Now, about the drinks -- Folino’s has enough options to make a soda fountain jealous. But beware the unsweetened tea, which apparently missed the memo on what "unsweetened" means. It’s like that one friend who says they won’t eat the last slice… and then does. Deceptive, but still weirdly enjoyable. In short: Great pizza, fair prices, and tea that can’t be trusted. What more could you want?

Folino's continues to be my favorite pizza place in Burlington. I have been to at least 4 other pizza places nearby and 3 more restaurants that sell pizza as an entree and Folino's is still my favorite. Wood fire thin crust pizza is my favorite and Folino's has never disappointed - in either location. If anyone that tells you they don't like a particular pizza place in Burlington will often say it's not as good as NY style pizza but they fail to understand you cannot compare every pizza to greasy NY style pizza - there are other kinds of pizza to eat. The Shelburne location is also great and is attached to Fiddlehead - which is also a great time. They have lots of offerings for toppings and the prices are fair. About 20 bucks for a large pizza (we had many toppings and the inhouse made vegan cheese). I will keep coming back to Folino's and advise anyone visiting the area to try them! They are also friendly to Gluten Free and Vegetarians and Vegans.
