Hursey's Bar-B-Q Express — Restaurant in Burlington

I just stopped here passing through, wanted to see what Carolina bbq was all about. I ordered a half rack of rib plate and pulled pork sandwich. I got my order to go. Decided to open it up in the parking lot and I looked at my ribs and I knew I wasn’t going to be happy! NO SMOKE RING!!! This tells me that the ribs are BOILED for tenderness!!! I took a bite and that was it, I was done! I wasted my money! Being a bbq guru myself, you can’t miss me when it comes to bbq. This is not the place. The bbq sauce was hiding the flavor of the pork, but flavor was never there! I took a bite of the sandwich and NO it went on the trash. After that I didn’t taste the sides. Im from Texas and when you walk into a bbq place it smells like bbq. This place didn’t not have that smell at all. Smell like vinegar and mop water. But I tried it! I am giving them 2 stars due to the poor customer service in the drive thru today. We ordered our food and drove to the window where we were greeted by a rude elderly woman who not only spoke down to us but she also lectured us on how to order our food and drinks. I spoke to the manager and was told that nothing would be done about this person's rudeness to the customers. Yes, it has happened so much that they literally talk about the losing of customers every morning because of this person. We came in at 7:30 to get food and the lady at the front register Laura was very rude.. I guess mad bc thy closed in 30mins and we wanted to sit down and eat real quick and then we asked about the strawberry cobbler and was told we are out of strawberry’s.. then she brought our drink to us and sat it down and said thank you and she stormed off.. then when she brought our food out and we said thank you again to her and she said YEAH!! Needless to say I want be back to this location..
