I was really pleasantly surprised by my experience here. I've had the OG EGGDROP sandwiches 3 times in Korea at different locations, so I was a bit taken aback by the prices at Oh K Dog for what seemed like the same product. Turns out it was totally worth it and more than made up for the price difference.
I got the classic egg toast (menu item A) with garlic bread for 99 cents extra -- altogether it cost over $10 with tax. To summarize how I feel about EGGDROP in Korea -- while I love the texture of the bread and the egg, I really disliked how sweet and overpowering the sauces were. I was surprised to see that at Oh K Dog, the sauce was much less sweet and overpowering, instead adding a nice subtle flavor complement. The portion size was much much bigger than the sandwiches I've had in Korea -- potentially up to twice the size. There was so much egg and it was perfectly cooked, velvety soft, warm and cushiony. The garlic bread was also delicious and had great flavor and texture.
Overall I was hesitant to purchase this sandwich because it's basically double the price of what I paid in Korea for what I thought was the same thing. However, I think that in every single way it was better than what I had in Korea. I will definitely be coming back here every time I go to H Mart. They have a great system with a buzzer that goes off in ~10 minutes -- just enough time to get through most of the produce section -- and you can spend the rest of your shopping trip indulging in egg heaven. I'm so happy that I gave this place a try and will definitely...

I ordered the classic toast via Uber Eats for pick up and arrived around the estimated time to pick it up. But I see that they were swamped and it looked like the food wasn't ready yet. I was just waiting on the side when the owner asked me if she could help and when I told her I was there for the Uber Eats pick up, she apologized for the delay and asked me if I could give her a few more minutes. I wasn't in a big hurry, so I said sure.
Then, she suddenly gave me one of their frozen drinks because she was sorry I had to wait so long. That really did it for me that she cared enough to give a drink, as I had not experienced this since moving to the area. To top it off, the frozen drink was really good. While I was sipping on the drink, thinking how great this is, my toast was ready, so I picked it up and brought it to enjoy it with my wife.
I loved the thoughtful packaging with the clear plastic so that the sauce doesn't get everywhere while carrying it around. The toast was great. The egg was super fluffy and the bread was buttery without being oily. The sauce was not overbearing and was just there to give a bit of extra push to round out the flavors. This was the best Korean toast I've had in the US. I immediately went back to buy a ham and cheese one. My wife and I didn't finish that one, so we put it in the fridge and ate it the next day after heating it in microwave for 30 sec, and it was still so good.
We will definitely be back for the food and the...
Read moreThe only thing you should be aware of (that shouldn’t deduct stars from your review if you set your expectations correctly) is that there could possibly be a wait here. It can’t be helped because the kitchen can only make so many items but trust me it’s 100% worth the wait! The food is so good and the staff are sweet and friendly. My recommendation: order before you grocery shop and pick it up as you leave if you hate waiting.
So far I’ve tried all the variations of toast, each one consistently fluffy and delicious. My favorite has to be the bacon, it’s just an amazing combination. Today we tried the green grape and passion fruit slushes and the green grape is a definite must-try! It’s the perfect balance of sweet&tangy I’ve never had...
