Having spent just shy of 8 hours at this dining establishment with friends the following was experienced: Olivia restaurant assistant manager: Enamored with her teamwork skills, multitasking abilities not only kept the operational flow seamless it set a strong precedent of success across all operational platforms. It was evident between leadership and subordinates that āmutual respectā was a strong focal point. Olivia conducted āone minuteā meetings with all staff at the start of shift keeping everyone abreast of the shift expectations. Olivia exemplified owning her role in such a profound way keeping positive engagement with all aspects of staff. Olivia was readily available checking in on guests; inclusive of fulfilling requests mitigating for seamless flow. Tracey, server: warm and fuzzy manners, accommodating requests of guests, attentive listener, prompt response to table(s), upbeat disposition, extensive restaurant knowledge, exceptional communication/customer service. An absolute delight having had my dining experience with her at the helm. John training Julian: Between the side huddles, inclusive open dialogue at tables, instant queues ācoaching in the momentā were not only professional they were positively motivational. The onboarding techniques in action moved even myself! Ann filling in as line manager: kept communications flowing between kitchen staff/servers, remained active in her operational flow assisting with the deliveries of guest orders; emulating teamwork with her counterparts remaining customer centric. Kate: quick āhot coffeeā spill recovery - questioning wellbeing of guest; following up several times in between tending to her own tables. Impressive and effective communication: projecting the word āCornerā when entering/exiting highly trafficked area; keeping safety the primary focus at this restaurant. Observed and appreciated! The aesthetics of the restaurant were pleasing to the eye, food was delicious (memorable: Scallops were made to perfection accompanied by spinach that with every bite danced in my mouth - the chocolate cake, a highlight of our experience, was fresh and tasty! The best part was learning it was made onsite) and the cleanliness of the restaurant was impeccable. This was an outstanding experience that will have me raving to friends about. I look forward to my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA++++ food!
We went here for dinner, and we loved it!
ATMOSPHERE: Nicely decorated inside, and fun. A bit loud, but that is to be expected when it is a bit crowded with happy diners! And if you sit by the window, when the sun starts to hit you in the face, they have motorized shades that come down to filter things (NICE!). They also have outdoor seating too (something to try when it is warmer!)
APPETIZERS: We got the tasty salads, and they were fresh and had some blue cheese, bacon bits, and a nice house Dijon Vinaigrette dressing. We also got the Sesame Crusted Tuna (healthy & tasty).
DINNERS: I got one of the best dinners I ever had anywhere: The Scallops & Spinach Risotto (and they threw in some mushrooms too) = excellent flavor. And the scallops were cooked PERFECTLY! A++++ And my wife and kiddo each to the Salmon Romesco, which was also excellent (cooked perfectly, and the rice and vegetables were excellent too).
BEVERAGES: My wife got the St Michelle Riesling, and loved it. I got the Saratoga sparkling water (and they had the big size bottle, which I wish most restaurants did) = cold and frosty!
SERVICE: We had an excellent waiter named Kevin. He was just-the-right amount of attentive (not too much, not too little), and super friendly as well. And they have a team approach here, so if our waiter is tied up at another table, another team member brings us out our food. EXCELLENT!
PRICES: For a restaurant like this, it isn't too bad. It certainly isn't cheap, but that is to be expected when fine dining.
OVERALL: Yes = highly recommended - don't miss this place. We are coming back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Burtonās on Easter Sunday for brunch with my family. I am gluten free due to having an autoimmune disease called Celiac Disease. Burtons says they care very much about allergies and take it very seriously. They even have a gluten free menu. I went with my family and ordered something off the gluten free menu and informed my server I had a sever gluten allergy as well. I ended up getting sick for 3 days from this meal. I called and asked to speak to a manager and told him what had happened and at first I felt as though he didnāt believe me so he told me heād talk to the chef and kitchen and look into it. I left it at that. He never even asked for my name or phone number nothing. I then received a phone call back an hour later which I can only assume came from caller ID with that manager apologizing saying he talked to the chef and the kitchen and there was mishandling of my food and they did in fact make me sick for 3 days. He offered me a gift card to make it up to me. I then found out when I picked up my gift card that I can use at a sister restaurant that I have never gotten sick at. I also found out that they cooked my hash on the same flat top as they were toasting bread. They completely cross contaminated my food and had me sick. This is a place that prides itself on allergies and it was not taken seriously. Apparently my sickness is only worth a gift card and a basic apology. My family and I will never be back and I had high hopes. Just a warning to anyone out there with food allergies...
