To start, the space is not big enough for a mini van to park at a speaker. I had to receive through the back window....no big deal big picture. I ordered a sandwich with no mayo as my son is allergic. I got the order and everything was right except that. Before I went inside my wife accidentally dropped her tots as well. I went inside and let the sweet young lady know about the issue with the sandwich and she was quick to have another made overall. When I told het about the sandwich I also ordered new tots for my wife figuring this was something simple. I got the sandwich and from time of interaction to time I got my tots....it was 20 minutes....to get a simple order of tots. Now, as I stood in the lobby waiting with another gentleman who had placed his order before me, I watched as one young lady came in and stood at the counter as if waiting for something to be corrected with her order...nobody looked in our direction....heads down and kept moving...she finally left highly upset. I want to say that I am an overly patient person and I was at the point of yelling at someone. As both I and the other guest were beginning to get upset I approached the counter and stood there waiting for acknowledgment....nothing. I spoke up to grab someone's attention...nothing. I was just about to walk out without my food instead of yelling and they finally handed me my tots with no apology or acknowledgement....the other guy who had ordered before me was still waiting. Now, I have worked in food service and I am in hospitality management now....I understand being busy or short staffed...but take a half a second to assure the customer you are working on their order. The food sucked but the service overall is why I will never return to a Sonic. I sincerely hope that this location is not normally like this....but for me there is likely never going to be...
Read moreHorrible customer service! The lady working the counter was super rude. Waited first in line for over 15 min. No one came to take our order. I placed an app order because I had a time limit because I had to get my daughter to dance. She loudly announced not to order a slushy after the order had been placed and of course it included a slushy. I tried to check in with her. She then demanded to know who ordered the slushy. To which I responded I had before you told us the slushy machine wasn't working. She didn't ask me how we could resolve this. When I approached her and said I would like to go ahead and switch the slushy to something else she rolled her eyes at me and said "I know" while walking away. After standing there longer she came back and told some guy that was in the back to help me the slushy getting it swapped out. 5 minutes later the substitution came out bit none of the rest of the order. Another 20ish minutes go by. My friend gets her milkshakes for her kids. My son and I still don't have our part of the order. The lady asks if we need anything else. I say we never got the rest of our order? And she goes to the back and yells we never checked in, which we did. She isn't gone for even 5 seconds and comes out with our order that was already ready. 40 minutes in total my friend still hadn't gotten her drink she had ordered when we got there. We absolutely will not ever go to this sonic again. This doesn't even touch on the lack of cleanliness or anything else. Such a disappointing trip. Also it wasn't like the place was packed or that they...
Read moreMy daughter went online to apply for summer job at the Burlington location. The website prompts a message a completing a simple questionnaire to go to the location on Monday between 4-6pm . I have educated my daughter on work interview etiquette and work ethics in the workforce since a young age being she has worked for the family business. She arrived at 3:45pm for the open interviews and was told they had no idea that corporate has posted this information and it needed to be taken down . Then the person followed with whats your name & number :you may or may not receive a phone call. I have 25 yrs and counting of corporate management where it is demanding to serve the community while overseeing operations with staffing and very competitive demographic region and high turn over retention . Word to the wise : never dismiss a prospective candidates that could bring higher performance levels. The Burlington Sonic health department score is 90% ! You obviously have the wrong candidates at this time! So when the next individual comes in seeking employment that was directed from the corporate website you should always take the opportunity to interview the people! So when your current staff are falling short on open/closing procedures and cleaning. You could possibly have the potential candidates ready to replace the individual that do not align with corporate visions and expectations!
your score 90% is representation of the management /leadership qualities. you have to do better and get the score up....
