Fish tacos for breakfast, would you have ever even imagined that??!!! They are way better than you think!! I came here because I was in town visiting and my friend was at work so I needed to do homework and have breakfast. Unfortunately I couldn't do homework because then I would of had to move to the bar area to use my laptop and quite frankly it didn't look comfortable so I just decided against it but it was probably the most disappointing part of my visit because it caused me to feel rushed. The service over all was okay, the waitress was attentive and didn't miss a beat. I wouldn't say it was the most welcoming environment but they did their job and they did it well enough. I ordered coffee, an apple cider mimosa and fish tacos for breakfast. For my first apple cider mimosa I think it was pretty good, kind of more tart than I expected but good nonetheless. The fish tacos were huge but only came with fish tacos and nothing else however it filled me up with just one of the breakfast tacos so having no sides didn't really matter. The fish was like a backnote of the tacos with beans and eggs taking most of the space but the flavors melded together so well. It definitely wasn't one of my top places for breakfast during my last trip into town and I may come back here next time I'm in town for the tacos but that would be my main...
Read moreWe just visited this place for the first time. Beyond the food being sub-par.. my Vermont husband who grew up boiling syrup with his parents- took one bite of his pancake with maple syrup before he realized something was wrong. Turns out the maple syrup bottle had mold on the inside of it. I was so flustered that I didn’t take a picture, but instead just brought his pancake and the syrup up to explain what happened. We were given $2 off “for the inconvenience”. The waitress was very sweet and apologized, but I don’t feel the situation was handled the way it should have been. It’s clear the maple syrup is not being stored properly. Frustrating to pay almost $50 for a meal that was served up with mold. Very sweet waitresses, but definitely do not recommend. Editing to add: we were then brought out a different bottle of maple syrup which was open, and warm meaning it was not stored in the refrigerator. Opened maple syrup has to be stored...
Read moreCan’t speak of the food but the drinks were hands down the best drinks I’ve had in Vermont in a long time. Most bars and restaurants in the area don’t know how to make a proper or good margarita and often concoct a below average mixed drink. Stopped here and tried 4 different cocktails and they were all great. Highly recommend the punch. It is refreshing to know that bars still exist who have a proper pour and don’t skimp out on liquor. To further praise the quality of drink, it absolutely slams the windjammer, RiRas, shelburne tap house and koto, all of which I stopped at this week. The atmosphere was nice and the music selection was great too. Rock on...
