We have been wanting to find a good bahn mi place in the Burlington, VT vicinity and by accident, we stumbled upon this little eatery, tucked away, off the busy Shelburne Road. Plenty of parking spaces and easy to spot. The shop is small but neat and tidy. No dine-in space but you can take your sandwiches and head over to the nearby picnic tables outside, on a beautiful sunny day. We ordered the Dac Biet (#1) and the Lemongrass Pork. Very generous portions and the pickles are delicious. We love how crispy the bread is and they even put a lot of thought into their packaging - ventilation allowing the sandwich to not get soggy and stay crispy. We also ordered their bubble teas. Happy to say that the tea is great and the boba is wonderfully bouncy and chewy. It is hard to find a good boba place in this area and we love that they know how to make great tea. We cannot wait to go back and try the other bahn mi on their menu. Customer service is friendly and fast. This is truly a rare gem in Vermont... delicious and authentic.

Epic disappointment - I ordered tom yum and ended up with a flavorless salty, spicy broth not even remotely resembling the flavors of tom yum we know and love. Seems like poor business ethics to promise a menu item you're truthfully not providing, its a doctored vegetable broth at best. I would be wary of all the other "that specialty" offerings.

Wow, footlong Banhmis anyone ? What a treat! The service was polite and quick. We ordered two sandwiches and two garden rolls to go. The sandwich was excellent. I wish the pickled veggies popped more, but otherwise the bbq pork was fantastic and so generously portioned. The sandwich was enough to fill me up quick.

Tonight was deserving of one star, only because there is no half-star option. Where do we start? They don’t serve complimentary tea anymore - a month ago we were served hot tea as we were seated. Tonight the tea came with our meal, and we were charged two dollars. On day three of being employed, our waitress was still completely unfamiliar with the menu. She asked what size we would like our spring rolls and crispy wonton soup, which are standard sizes from the Appetizer list. When I inquired about the soup of the day she simply said I don’t know. When the spring rolls arrived she brought them without the plum dipping sauce. When she returned with the sauce it didn’t have peanuts with it. She took the dipping sauce away and forgot to bring it back. When the wonton soup came it was a different wonton soup with assorted vegetables. The soup was good enough, but not what I ordered. One entree arrived and our waitress said enjoy even though we were still waiting for a Saigon Salad. From there on out the waitress didn’t check in with us, let alone even look our way to inquire about the missing salad. We had to get up and go to the counter to ask for the salad that never made it on the order. The salad finally arrived yet we were disturbed to find a long hair at near the end of the plate. When the waitress finally came back, only to ask us if we wanted our check, I told her to hold off. At this point I went up to the counter to ask another waitress who was in charge. The manager/owner/chef came out from the kitchen and I shared that I had been here before and this was by far the worst service yet and I would appreciate the meal on the house or at least a significant discount. I suppose he was nice enough to take the hairy salad off the bill. I accepted this gesture and further shared our disappointment by leaving a $0.00 tip.

And for the grand finale, as we were on our way out we see the table next to us finding not one, but two hairs in their...

I have eaten at M-Saigon a few times and the food is usually pretty good. However, today I stopped in and ordered the M-Saigon rolls (that look like an egg roll in the photos) and they brought me Spring Rolls. My wife brought them to the counter and said they brought the wrong order and the cook (manager, whatever) said "Spring Roll? Isn't that what you ordered?". She told him no, that she ordered the M-Saigon Roll which was much different. When I stepped up and pointed to the photos the man said "Ohhh, now we make M-Saigon Roll different to look like this". Obvious that he was lying and too cheap to take it back and get what we ordered, I just gave up and told my wife we would not come back to the restaurant again. Next came my wife's seafood soup, again looking nothing at all like the photo but filled with cheap imitation seafood and boiled fish balls. I felt like standing outside and telling people to beware of going into the restaurant who clearly don't know or don't care what "false advertising" is. Avoid this place at all costs unless you don't mind getting what you...
