Thursday, November 2nd, 10:05 pm got in line in drive through, about 5 cars total in line in front of me. In the time I waited to place an order, two cars pulled up in the other line and placed their orders, while the gentleman on the other end of the speaker said to wait. I was a little miffed, but finally got waited on. After every item I requested to order, I was asked, is that it? I just wanted to get my order in and kept getting cut off by the order taker, who obviously didn't really want to take my order. We ordered a 4 piece crispy buttermilk tenders, a big mac, a 20 piece chicken nuggets, two large fries, and two apple pies. The receipt said the order was placed at 10:13. We got in line, which had only moved one car in the 8 minutes we had been in line. In the time we were there, we saw far more cars leave the drive through line and exit the lot than actually order and stay in line. I guess you manage your business down to the level you can handle, and this crew couldn't handle much. We got up to the window at 10:31 and paid for our order with exact change, then took it home to eat. I live about 3 minutes away. We got the fries out, and they were room temperature at the warmest. I guess they sat there in the bag the entire 20 minutes we were in line. The big mac bottom bun was as hard as a crouton. The crispy tenders were warm, but the nuggets were also room temp and soggy. We opened up the pies, and we got one apple like we ordered, the second one had some cream cheese and some other strange filling in it, maybe pumpkin? Not what I ordered. This restaurant is run so poorly after 10 pm at night, I am surprised it can stay open. 20 minutes to get 7 cars through, cold food, wrong food delivered. I would have called the restaurant to complain, but I have done that before, with no good results. Like I want to go back out to pick up a new order of fries after I am home for the night. The mcdonalds off of 42 in apple valley and the mcdonalds in town center in Eagan have no such problems, but they are a lot farther from my house and probably franchises instead of corporate owned. I have no intentions of eating at this mcdonalds again. The last 3 times there have been bad food and poor service. I guess I am just a glutton for punishment, but no more. I am guessing they will claim it is labor and staffing issues, but its been like this for months. If they can't manage any better than this, they should just close this location and sell off the real estate.
Against my better judgment I went back today, December 6th, 2018. Today they got 5 cars through in 12 minutes while I was there. Unfortunately, that evidently isn't enough time to get the orders right. When i got home there was no barbecue sauce in my bag for the 20 piece nuggets I ordered. I guess I could blame it on training, but the manager was the one that handed us the food(and was taking orders). Order accuracy prior to 5 pm is pretty good there. The manager told me the reason drive through is slower at night is because of larger average checks at night. I want to suggest to the manager that he should go to the McDonalds in Apple Valley, or Eagan and audit their drive through operations, they don't take longer at night, or if they do, it isn't this long. Read moreToday on August 5th at 2pm, I went with my 2 son's and ordered a happy meal and one large fry. I repeated my order twice before giving my drive thru code and the guy taking my order confirmed it. I drove to the first window and paid, the lady wished me a good day without offering a receipt. At the second window we received our drink and happy meal and then I asked the lady if the large fries were in the happy meal box, and she rudely responded "no, check your receipt." I told her that I don't have the receipt. She proceeded to speak in Spanish to her coworkers and summoned the Manager who was also communicating with them in Spanish. The Manager approached the window and demanded a receipt, and I had to reiterate what I had told the previous lady. The Manager then walked away yelling "I will get your receipt." She returned moments with the receipt and started lecturing me about the importance of having the receipt, and stated that I drove off while the lady was handing out the recipt ( which was not true). For the sake of peace and the fact that I had lived in Savage for 14 years and always came to this location, I told her I will pay for the fries even though it wasn't my mistake. She turned to the register without handing me the receipt, and said something under her breath in Spanish. At that point I decided I didn't want to order the fries anymore because I didn't know what they were going to do with my food because she was still complaining in Spanish to the co-workers. So I told her nevermind and drove off. I am a professional nurse at Fairview Mental Health Unit. I deal with mentally challenged patients day in to day out and they behave way better than the McDonald's staff I had to deal with today. Read moreThis location has stepped it up over the past year so I have adjusted my previous review. The service has gotten much better (needs work on serving hot french fries though) and the drive through times are improving. I appreciate the order accuracy and I definitely want to give some praise to Anthony who is an awesome employee! He is usually the one who takes the money and orders. He is a great asset and has a wonderful personality and smile each and every time I visit. Thank you Anthony for being one of the biggest reasons this place is turning around!

If you have another McDonalds you can go to....just do it. This location has more issues than I have time to write about. The drive through is extremely slow and you will have to repeat your order several times before they get it right. In the last three months, I have not had a single time where this place has gotten my order right. Yesterday was the final straw with this place. I got my BBQ sauce but no chicken nuggets. To top it off, they filled a small bag so full that my french fries were spilling all over the place. I usually check my order before I leave, but the small bag did not leave me much of an option unless I wanted french fries all over my car. The visit prior to this, I got medium fries when I ordered and paid for large fries and to top it off, the medium fry was not even filled properly. This place needs some serious help. The employees are rude, slow, and cannot double check or fill orders properly. I have reached out to management and have yet to receive a call back. This service is unacceptable!
