Maybe use the term "speak easy" just to denote good mixology as signs identifying the location as open are clearly apparent, whereas a traditional speakeasy is a semi-secret cocktail bar. Still, it is pretty nice with good service, and good cocktails. Sadly, the autistics are not appropriate for loud music and musicians seem to want more attention than is supported by the venue. Read moreReally cool atmosphere. In the basement of the Miner's Hotel in Butte's historic district. We went on a weeknight recently and had the entire place to ourselves. Great experience as we were able to chat with the bartender about the history of the building while having a couple cocktails.
The bar is very spacious with plenty of places to either socialize or find a quiet table away from people. The cocktails were nice and the beer / liquor selection was solid.
If we lived in Butte, we would no doubt be regulars and we will always stop in if we drive through town. We talked about staying in the above hotel next time we spend the night in Butte.
