Saffron — Restaurant in Butte

I can’t say enough good things about this place! Azhar is an amazing chef, employer and all around great person. She is by far one of best employers I have ever seen! She has a family dinner night for her staff weekly, treats them like family and goes above and beyond for all her employees all the time. She posts constantly all the great things they do while working and everyone is always full of smiles and joy. It’s so refreshing to see. I own a business and know first hand how important it is to treat employees right to keep them happy, yet working hard especially since good work ethic seems to be a part of the past! More importantly, Azhar always caters to the needs of her customers. Time and time again I see her changing the menu to accommodate people, always asking what’s best for our little community of Butte, always trying to make it better for everyone. I can’t imagine trying to run a restaurant when you can’t always please everyone! 🤪Well, rest assured if you’re questioning whether to eat here or not, your needs will be met! We live in a world where everyone feels the need to complain about things instead of seeing what’s good or being kind & grateful. Azhar & her amazing staff will always go out of their way to make you happy even when they are swamped with other customers! You can’t go wrong, ever supporting this fine eating establishment while enjoying their delicious homemade food! Have I mentioned the ambience is amazing too and so is their bathroom?!!! #bestofbuttehandsdown...

Went with my boyfriend who bught a gift card from KXLF 50% off dining that the restaurant wouldn't honor. We were told we needed a printed, paper copy. When we presented photographic evidence saying the complete opposite "no printing required, just present QR code on your phone" I was told "thanks for showing us, hopefully it's fixed next time" I'm $85 into a $60 meal plus a bottle of wine 👎👎 exceptionally unimpressed. I ordered chicken curry and recieved the vegan curry (chickpeas and potato, no chicken). I wouldn't give this business your hard earned money, save yourself the disappointment and go get a good meal somewhere else, ANYWHERE else.

RESPONSE: Hmm funny how we even showed the owner on the voucher where it specifically said that we didn't have to print anything out. No I did not receive any chicken and no I did not clear my plate. I ended up eating part of it before realizing there was no chicken and then boxed the rest up and threw it away. Even more disappointed with the experience now. But there's definitely better food in Butte so we will give other businesses our money and continue to let everyone know what happened at this restraunt 🤷‍♀️ why not just take responsibility for not honoring the voucher? Oh well, TO EACH THEIR OWN. Guess some people were never taught...

I visited Saffron to celebrate a special occasion with my wife, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I ordered the steak frites medium rare. When it arrived, it was extremely rare — nearly raw. I politely asked if they could cook it a little longer. When the steak came back, it was completely overdone: grainy, flavorless, and had the texture of something that had been microwaved.

When I expressed my disappointment to the waiter, he argued with me, insisting it was medium rare, even after I showed him the gray, dry meat in front of me. Having worked as an expo at high-end restaurants, I fully understand the pressures of a busy kitchen, but the level of service and food quality here was unacceptable.

This was supposed to be a special night, and instead, it was frustrating and disappointing. I will not be returning to Saffron, and I won’t be recommending...
