At Greg Hernandez, personally this is something I wouldn’t waste my time on but just the fact that you want to lie on this business is not okay. Everything you said is not how things happened. To begin with you entered with out a face mask, although we have a sign right at front requiring a face mask. We could have refused you service for not wearing one, but we kindly chose to still serve you. The first thing you did when you approached my co worker was talk to her with an attitude while you loudly & falsely accused her of touching money with her glove in front of the whole shop. As she was walking back to the register to put the dollar bill in I could clearly see which hand she had it in; it was definitely not the hand she had her glove on. Instead it was the hand she doesn’t use to touch customers order. You then told her to switch out her glove to get your donuts she takes it off but doesn’t get a new one because she had the tongs right in front so when you continued to rudely talk to her I stepped in & told you she was going to use the tongs instead. I did not say “we only use tongs”, I just said she was going to use those instead. I did not start to argue with you, I talked to you in a regular voice; replied to everything you had to say. After you saying you must be picky, I agreed. Your mom then proceeded to raise her voice at me repeatedly saying not to be rude. Then that’s when I said just because you were a customer doesn’t mean I was about to let you disrespect us. I’ve always been big about if you want respect you give respect, the moment I gave you back the same energy you & your mother got extremely offended. I never said “just because you’re a customer doesn’t give you the right to complain & argue with us” I love when customers give us feedback about the shop. I’m always open to hear people’s opinions but the way you approached us in a rude manner from the beginning was not okay. Especially when we were trying our very best to rapidly attend every customer when the shop was extremely busy. Wish you would have noticed all the gloves we had stacked up from constantly having to switch them out. I appreciate all customers that come in, I treat them with kindness & respect because that’s exactly how one wants to be treated right? I’ve been with this shop since they opened & I know how kind hearted, hard working the owners are so I felt I had to address this situation because they don’t deserve you falsely accusing them to try to ruin...
Read moreBest donuts in the treasure valley, and better yet the best donuts I’ve had since California.
For the reviews of people complaining about a lot of donuts being sold out by the time they get there; donuts are made VERY early on in the morning, usually mixed, prepped, and started around 2am. It’s a long process to make sure that the donuts are good and fresh by the time the doors open. With that being said, donuts are the best straight out of the oven right after cooled, and the majority of people who buy donuts do so early in the morning. What do you expect by walking in later on in the day?
Give these donuts a try. They’re great.
Update 06/28
There have been a couple of reviews about the young lady working at the donut shop that seems rude and unresponsive, and I have to add that the last few times I’ve been in, the young woman at the front has been very short, and borderline unwelcoming. I understand everyone has their bad days, but it’s been persistent those last few times. No welcome, no hello, but more so a demeanor that screams that she’s annoyed with the world and cannot be bothered by anybody. Customer service is the number one industry,...
Read moreWe drove 20 minutes in excitement to get a few apple fritters (my all time favorite doughnut). I walked in and I was delighted by the assortment of doughnuts, so much so I decided to get a dozen doughnuts. I had to get at least 3 apple fritters though. The young lady handling the counter didn't seem happy at all that we were there but she might've just been having a bad day. I ended up paying about $17 for my dozen doughnuts, and as soon as we got to the car we had to bust the box open to try the apple fritter. I bit in with excitement and was really let down when all I tasted was oil. I continued, telling myself doughnuts are just greasy sometimes. I forced myself through my first one and didn't get one bit of apple in it, just a stomach wrenching amount of oil as if it sat in a layer of oil on a plate for hours after it was fried. I told myself, maybe it was just a dud, a bad doughnut, so I went in and tried the second one, same results. I'm heartbroken to say that I won't be returning. The other doughnuts were good and didn't taste like they slept in oil over night but I went for apple fritters, not...
