Mi Linda Michoacana Paleteria & Neveria Ice Cream & Popsicle — Restaurant in Caldwell

Went there for ice cream bars. Saw that some chocolate ones were freshly made and added on top of a stack of already existing chocolate bars. There were about 15 in a stack total now. Hispanic couple in front of me ended up getting two of them and the lady behind the counter grabbed them from the top of the pile and gave them to them. They ended up getting some other ice cream as well. I got a strawberry one and wanted to try one of the fresh chocolate bars as well but ironically the lady behind the counter pulled my chocolate bar from the very bottom of the pile. The pile that was already there before the fresh ones were added to the top. At first I didn't think too much about it but when I started consuming the chocolate ice cream bar after purchasing, you could tell this was a much older one. This one seemed possibly freezer burnt, and some of the chocolate was sticky and separated, almost as if it had been thawed and then frozen again. I was skeptical at first that the store gave me lesser quality ice cream because I'm white, even though I purchased it just like the Hispanic couple in front of me did, but after reading other reviews I could clearly see I'm not the first person that has been treated negatively for being white. Googled Ice Cream shop while we were in Caldwell....a place I visit.....Never. And I was left with a different opinion of Caldwell because of this place!!!! I see comments about how they lacked customer service.....have you tried simply asking a question?. They had amazing customer service and answered anything I had zero idea about. And the PRICE?!?!?!?! beyond reasonable unless of course you have a daily dessert diet. You order anything from franchises ie...Coldstone etc. You get a quarter of what you are served here and pay triple. I loved it and would travel to Caldwell for this place...

Visiting family & my mom recommended this ice cream shop. They have great "paletas" all natural and the rest of the menu is pretty ok. But I had a weird experience, two gentlemen greeted us, one asked what we wanted took our order, and the other complimented my baby. The one who took our order asked how old I was, I proceeded to say "22" and he's like "damb you already having babies" so I gave him an awkward look and asked my mom if I should feel offended.
