Mancino's Subs & Pizza — Restaurant in Caldwell

Usually go to the Mancinos in Nampa and it has been one of our favorites. Decided to order online, thinking it was for the Mancinos in Nampa. Ended up I ordered online at the one in Caldwell. No big deal, I was out that way anyway, but I would be very early in picking it up. Showed up to the store, went to the counter to check if they'd recieved the order yet (it had only been ten minutes since I placed it), and attempted to make it clear that I was willing to wait as I was aware I was very early. I go to sit down, and some more customers show up and put their order in. In the meantime, I can hear the cook complaining about me from back in the kitchen. Very loudly. To the point where the other customers kept looking my way and sending concerned looks. A gentleman came in to restock the kitchen and unload groceries, and the woman in the back continued to complain about me to him. Again, VERY loudly. Finally my order was ready (later than projected online by about 15-25 minutes), and I went to the counter to grab it. The woman who checked me out was was the same woman who had been complaining about me, and she was just as off-putting as anticipated. We will definitely not be going back to the Mancinos in Caldwell.

If you're going to complain about your customers, at least wait until they've left your shop, or do so in privacy where you know they...

Decided to try mancino's today 6/7/19. Location was easy to access and heard lots of good reviews.

First I ordered a meatball grinder and asked for provolone. This establishment does not carry any other cheese than their signature mix of Colby Jack and mozzarella.

Second I try to order one of their signature pizzas in a small. I was informed that even though they have small as an option for their signature pizzas they dont recommend them because they dont cook properly with the amount of toppings.

I finally order a small Hawaiian pizza and ask to switch the ham for bacon. I am charged extra.

I was told 15 to 20 minutes wait time. 35 minutes later I recieve my food.

I take the food home ( I live less than five minutes from the restraunt)

The meatball grinder was bland and mushy but hot.

The Hawaiian pizza was cold, found only 4 small pieces of bacon on the entire pizza, crust was almost still considered dough, there was no Colby Jack just mozzarella, and there was enough cheese for a large pizza.

Overall the only reason I am giving this a two star review is because it is so close to my house. 22$ after tax spent on a...

Hate to give a bad review to a place that has great food but here we go!

Food is bomb. Can’t lose with their amazing bread and if you want a solid grinder this is the place to go. Just don’t go here. Try out the one in Boise.

Not sure if it’s the owner but the older woman who took my order is rude, curt and downright grumpy. As soon as I walked it I was met with a “it’s gonna be 25 to 30 minutes!” It’s like she wants everyone to just leave.

So I did.

That was a month ago.

Today I went in cuz I have a craving and guess what. Same thing. This time I decided to wait and I even mentioned when she told me about the wait I said, “Always is.”

To which she replied, “no it’s not! We just got a big order in.”

Regardless, there is no reason to be rude and not even greet a customer and go right into how it’s a bother to serve. You literally are in a business of serving customers food. If you hate it maybe do something else.
