I am sick and just called to order for delivery. I have had problems in the past with deliveries from here but I thought I would take a chance since I am not feeling well. I just looked at my phone. I have called 7 times, 4 of which I was hung up on while on hold. Finally when I got to speak to someone in the middle of my order I was put on hold and I was hung up on again. When I called back they answered and I could hear the girl talking to someone in the background saying she (meaning me) just hung up on me and then they immediately hung up on me again! I tried calling back 2 more times and now I have just given up. They took my phone number for the order and that was over 15 minutes ago and they never even had the courtesy to call me to finish my order. I am not feeling well and could have really used some soup. I have ordered delivery in the past and twice they forgot the white rice that goes with the order. Both times I had to drive back (because I don't eat chinese food without rice) and got nothing in return, no discounts, no free items for my troubles. So not only was I inconvenienced I also lost money with the tips that I gave the driver. So it actually cost me over $10 in tips just to go get my own food anyway. I have periodically ordered from them via pick up as well over the last 4 years. This is the last time. They will never get my...
Read moreNo magic here. That being said, I like to give the bennifit of the doubt to places I've only been to once. However, for $39 and change, I feel the food and service could have been better. Mongolian beef should not taste like super salty fish. Unless every other Chinese restaurant is doing it wrong. And it did. It Tasted like very salty fish. Also, the dish was $11 and change and comes with "manditory" rice. As in, I wanted to have vegetable lomein instead of rice and was told I could have an order of noodles on the side, and even if all I wanted was just the beef, the price was the same. With or without the rice and egg roll. You read that right, with or without no substitution, same price. The Rangoon were actually full of crab and cream cheese, so that was a plus, though they were hard. Also, the girl who took my order did not smile once. I gave three stars only because of the full rangoons, and maybe other dishes are better, but I doubt it. Save your money. So, I guess my quest for good consistent Chinese food continues on. Seriously, "mandatory rice and egg roll"! What, they have some excess of fried rice they have to sell before...
Read moreIt is worth noting first and foremost that this is not the same restaurant as was reviewed a year ago. Magic Wok is a separate entity under separate management with an entirely new staff.
That being said, the food is absolutely wonderful. I'm an avid partaker of Asian cuisine, by which I mean I eat everything from Thai and Hibachi to your standard Panda Express quickly-prepared Western-influenced dishes. Magic Wok excels. Even when I'm travelling and I want Chinese food, Magic Wok is the foremost quality to which I compared other food. Seasoning is excellent, sauces are wonderful and the food has always been cooked perfectly.
The staff are very helpful and very polite. They've always been correct with my orders and have always done their best to make sure I was happy, above all else.
If you chose to dine in, their interior decoration is delightful. Though not overly Oriental-themed, it bears a slight resemblance to most other Chinese restaurants, though it does not have a buffet.
5/5 Eat here as often as I can. Anytime I...
