The place was a very pretty place but food wise I got the apple crumble pie. It wasn't really my forte because personally I just don't like apple pie. I like the crust and I will say the crust was like super good. It was super moist. It got so nice sweetness from the apples and what I did was I took the apples out. I threw them away. The apples did not taste bad. I just didn't like it so I threw the apples away. I put some ice cream in it you know and ate it like that. It was super delicious for those of y'all that just like the crust and don't like the feeling. Second of all the chicken pot pie, the first time I got it it was very unseasoned and there was no potatoes in it. There was I think carrots and peas in it and I just it wasn't favorable but the crust again always. That's why y'all called crusties cuz it's so good. Yeah cuz it's so good. The second time I got the curry chicken pot pie. That was amazing. I had great seasoning highly recommend. Service wise the service was decent like I went up to the store and this guy told me to wait. I said boy I'm a customer. One thing you're not about to do is tell me to wait but I wasn't. I didn't say that but I thought that cuz it was kind of like random and I was the only person in there. So like what am I waiting for but I just stood there because I don't know what's going on. So I said let me weigh my weight and I waited for like some 3 minutes and that was about it so nothing too much. I just think they should be very appealing in a little higher pitching their tone instead of being dull monotone like have an accommodating voice you know,...
Read moreThis place is really good! Best peach cobbler in la it tastes homemade always fresh peaches and flaky warm crust! I usually just get a cobbler but today I stumbled across their turkey chili so I got the turkey chili rice and cornbread. The chili was delicious, and the rice was delicious and fresh as well! The cornbread was plain but when mixed with the chili and rice it makes sense. When I walked in the cashier KIARA was helping someone else and I was off to the side looking at the menu so when she finished another customer walked up to the register ready to place his order and she politely said I was next in line. It may seem minor but her acknowledging my presence avoided a potentially awkward encounter. I was getting ready to tell him I was in line but she handled it! She was really nice and it seems like she might be new she seemed nervous as I was leaving 3-4 people walked in. I’m leaving this review to let you all know she gave me amazing customer service and to continue ensuring her she’s doing a great job. You don’t have to get every customer in and out right away it’s okay if people wait a few minutes that way you minimize errors and unnecessary stress. The chili rice and cornbread is gone but here...
Read moreFive-Star Review for Crustees in LA
Crustees is hands-down one of the best culinary gems in LA! Every dish here is crafted with care and packed with flavor. The Shepherd’s Pie is nothing short of perfection – hearty, savory, and comforting in every bite. And don’t even get me started on the Key Lime Pie – it tastes so authentic that you’d swear it was flown in straight from Key West!
The Chicken Pot Pie is a timeless classic – flaky, rich, and absolutely satisfying. Pairing the Chili with the Jalapeño Cornbread is a stroke of genius – the perfect balance of warmth and spice that leaves you wanting more.
And if you’re ordering the Peach Cobbler, do yourself a favor and get two scoops of ice cream – because, why not? The sweetness and buttery crust paired with the cool, creamy ice cream is pure indulgence.
Honestly, I recommend you come here and try everything on the menu. Crustees doesn’t just make food – they make comfort. Five stars...
