Since that first bite of those delicious chilaquiles con milanesa de pollo, my girlfriend and I barely miss any weekends coming here! It's been almost 6 months!!!

The food is consistently amazing - even with their takeout. I've yet to have an order come back tasting different than the last. The portions are abundant yet we hardly leave any morsels because of how enjoyable the food is. Our favorite is the chilaquiles, as mentioned, but we've also had a few other plates, like the taquitos, the chorizo plate and skillet, and the enchiladas toluquenas. Overall, I love the authentic homestyle cooking. So much so that this even competes with my mom's cooking... SSHHH!!!

The chips and salsa they bring out is tasty. We also love their rice! Also, if you can handle some heat, their spicy red salsa is fantastic! Plenty of heat without losing any of the bold flavor.

The staff and restaurant are wonderful! They recently remodeled so the interior is more up-to-date. I do miss the separate individual booths, but they get so busy that the new seating makes more sense. I'm super glad they are constantly busy, and they still get the food out in a timely manner!

I hardly write reviews, but I couldn't go without stating how this is one of my favorite restaurants. I am hoping I can make it out...

I love this place, they were a God sent when my niece was sick. They are so kind I would call them every morning before I would go to take care of my niece may she R.I.H., they knew that I needed, fresh squeezed Orange Juice and Coconut water (they did not provide the fresh Coconut water, however they told me of two locations that made it fresh each morning) and I did not want it to set there for a long time. They coordinated my arrival time and would have my juice really and I could present it to her and know that it was as fresh as it could possibly be. That type of customer service actually desires more than 5 stars. They offer Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, fresh squeeze juice, coffee both Mexican and American foods, take out, phone orders, they are good for families. The dress is casual and they do not rush you. They are located on Slauson Ave, a very busy street, however there is plenty of parking in the back of the building and you can enter from the back as well. They accept all major credit cards. They have two locations....the one on La Brea and Fairview I would never recommend. I've had multiple bad experiences there, but I thought that I thought was a fluke. The first time, they forgot to give me the drink my order came with. When I returned to get it, the girl refused to give it to me without asking for me to pay. I had to talk to someone in charge for that. Another time they charge my card for someone else's order. Although we weren't sitting near each other, on opposite sides of the patio, we we're the only two melinated people sitting outside. I guess it could happen. 😏 Another time they shorted me a taco on the combo I ordered (2 tacos instead of 3). Another time I waited for 25min, while everyone else's order came in before mine, including people who placed orders after me. I'd noticed at least 4times previously the carne asada hard shell tacos contain more gristle and fat than meat. This time, 2 of the 3 tacos were inedible because of gristle and fat. The meat quality very is poor. I would tell anyone not to waste...
