Indian Cafe Manteca CA — Restaurant in California

Update 10/30/18 It's great seeing more and more people coming for lunch! They've added more dishes to their lunch buffet and some of the items vary day by day! I've updated my review to 5 stars! I've gone several more times and feel it's the best Indian restaurant in the area! Also service is always fantastic!

Been here a couple of times for the buffet which starts at 11am and ends at 3pm 7 days a week! The food is delicious and both times I've gone they've offered different choices for the buffet. At $8.50 which also includes naan and a fountain drink it's easily one of the best deals around.

Service has been amazing, always greeted with a warm smile and the employees are always there to make sure you have a full glass, naan bread, and how the meal is.

The food has been delicious, their goat curry is the best! Fall off the bone tender and the flavor is amazing with a little heat. The vegetarian samosas have a crispy flaky crust and full of flavor. The tandoori chicken has been there both times I've gone and never disappoint.

I'll have to come here next time and order off the menu and try their other items but so far if you are interested in trying a new restaurant here in Manteca I recommend...

My sister, mum, and I had the absolute pleasure of dining in at the Indian Cafe today!

The food was impeccable with bursts of flavor in every dish that was served to us. Our butter chicken and Tika Masala Chicken were made to perfection. Textures of every bite were smooth and silky with the chicken being extremely moist! It was all prepared so wonderfully! Our favorite dish was the Chicken Tandoor which was served hot sizzling pan with beautiful fresh green herbs and a vibrant green lime! Grilled to perfection, every bite was an enjoyable experience in itself!

Our most favorite aspect was the customer service! Every waiter and employee came to our table to check on us. Refreshing of water and dishes were done with such politeness. Our order was sent to us with no flaws all while we were given a generous amount of napkins, offering of more delicious rice, and loving smiles!

I had a very disappointing experience with this place. They completely messed up our order. We placed it over the phone, and both I and another person heard them confirm that samosas were included, but when we arrived, they were missing. When we brought this up, they wanted to charge extra to add them back, even though they were supposed to be part of the original order. To make matters worse, they charged us the same amount despite the incomplete order.

The food, unfortunately, did not meet our expectations, especially given the price. The naans were thinner than we’re used to and overly burnt, with not much flavor. The butter chicken also had a burnt taste in the curry, which detracted from the overall dish.

Overall, the experience left much to be desired. For the price and hassle, I wouldn’t recommend this place and will not be ordering...
