I came in here to grab a bite to eat after a 5hrs flight and got served raw chicken now mind you i just got off of a 5hr flight from TX ordered to go and when I called to tell the manager about the food he asked me to come back and he will comp my meat and have the cook make another chicken sandwich for me..I again explained to the manager I wanted to make you aware I'm not coming back out tonight. Then today I walked back over there from the hotel with my coworkers and showed him a picture of my raw chicken and did como my meal, but only comped me for the sandwich, I ordered a glass of wine and had the salad bar. At this point everything should have been free, but nope he wanted to charge me 20 bucks for the and the salad bar, then had the nerve to tell the waitress Oliva to come and bug me about my payment! Then on top of that she was trying to go home for the night and basically told her that she can't leave until I pay for my meal! So I gave her my card so she can get off shift and go pick up her family members from Sacramento, i give her my card she takes it up front and told her that I physically have to come up to the register and pay for it. At this point I'm pissed b/c 1 the way he was treating Oliva and 2 he was acting like i was going to do a smash and run! For a customer to come into your establishment from another state and had the service I had you must don't value your customers or your severs at the sametime! Never ever ever again will I go back to this...
Read moreI'm not your typical reviewer. I mostly leave that up to my wife but the experience I had a couple weeks ago is still lingering in my head and after mentioning it to others, well here I am. To start, the food was amazing, there are zero complaints about the service I received or the quality/taste of the food. What didn't sit right with me was the cashier, Olivia. I've never worked in the food industry but my wife made a career of it, so I know a little, by extension. Olivia does not belong on the floor. I can't stop thinking about how she complained, and in my opinion, had a tantrum about becoming a server. It was awful how she belittled her coworker within earshot of customers. I personally oversee 70+ employees and I'd be embarrassed to have someone like her representing my company on the floor. The way she spoke of a coworker so openly was upsetting. I understand personal opinions or feelings but expressing them while customers are within view or earshot is absurd. I encourage my employees to express concerns or grievances with management, maybe this isn't something encouraged within your company, I don't know. I've looked at other reviews and this isn't a first for her, but I also noticed, management only comments on "5 star reviews". I just hope you're taking the 'not so good reviews" and turning them into a...
Read moreI've been to many Sizzlers and i've NEVER been to one like this. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is so good! I ordered the steak and all you can eat shrimp and salad bar. First and foremost, the staff was the friendliest in ANY Sizzler i've been to, there was someone at the salad bar who would take your salad, mix it, and then plate it for you that way everything is even in the salad, LOVED IT! The entire salad bar was clean and superb. The waitress always kept the drinks full and brought rolls and shrimp even before we could think to ask. I absolutely loved this Sizzler and we will be coming back!
UPDATED VISIT 8/6/23 - Unfortunately the above review is not what this Sizzler is now. A lot of things have changed after COVID and we used to travel from Merced to this location based off what the prior review was. The rolls are permanently gone, the mixing of your salad is gone, and the staff isn't as attentive (we had to keep asking for refills and other items we needed). Sadly there wasn't much difference in the taste compared to the other Sizzlers...I don't know what has happened but there's no longer that great experience we once had in going to this place, it's now just "another Sizzler". We'll try again, but if nothing improves then sad to say we may just be here when we pass...
